Absolutely nothing for beginners

I am amazed how beautiful a golf course can be built in the mountains. Even though the holes are not that long, the topography is more difficult. Absolutely nothing for beginners or people with limited conditions. As I experienced myself at the flight before, driving a cart is very dangerous at some holes too. A real challenge but nothing for beginners!

I played this course before nine years ago in August when it was very hot. At that time, at 36 degrees, the pleasure was somewhat clouded.
So far this year, the summer has been reserved, so this time I had the pleasure of playing this excellent and challenging course twice (alone and in a 4-man flight) in rainy and cool weather.
I not only found my unbelievably fit, 86-year-old flight partner, who played like a world champion and above all putted, but also everything else that provides good, challenging and therefore unforgettable golfing pleasure, I found here. The nice staff, the very friendly members, the beautiful location with a fantastic panorama, the spectacular tees (especially tee 11), the very good condition, the remarkable halfway house and much more simply demand my coming back.
Incidentally, if you stay overnight in certain hotels in the vicinity, you will receive a 50% discount on green fees.

We played the course this September in lovely weather. Clubhouse kitchen tidy. Friendly check-in. We played behind a tournament. The attentive starter let us play with two very nice club members to avoid or shorten waiting times after a tournament. In this respect, we cannot understand the criticism expressed previously. The course is a bit short with 68 strokes, but quite tricky. Well-maintained fairways and greens. Cart is recommended. We would love to come back. At least 4 stars, we give one more star to offset the negative reviews a little.

A proper basic condition is necessary.
Holes with many inclines and slopes, up and down and rather flat passages change cheerfully. The beginning is exhausting, it goes up in stages until you are on the Green 10 at the highest point. Afterwards - from tea 11 - it goes downhill and it gets easier.
The course requires good placing of the tea to have a good position for the shot into the green. On average, the holes are not very long, but are long by uphill layers.
Many bunkers are not necessary to defend the greens. they are partly exposed and have a small depth, thus providing for their defense and demanding accuracy. Better to stay too short than too long, then threatens the spoiling.
It is a decent place that is maintained as well.
How many stars will get the top spots in the country? Three stars are good and enough, that's all!

Have played the place on Whitsun 2017. Place is very nice. The holes have very interesting layouts and the greens were in a very good condition.

Now comes the big but. On the tea 1 was a starter / marshall. So far so good. When explaining the rules, he could not express himself clearly (no good German / Austrian). So far actually no problem. When he came with the etiquette, it hurt me the language. The second time we saw the Marshal when he drove a lady before us to the tee-off 9 (We were already on the tea box and had to wait about 10 min wait and 2 more flights were then still there.) His justification: we would be too slow (always had to wait for the front flight because of the tee-off)
Such a behavior at the tee-off in combination with the action at the 9th hole (we would have let the flight after us gladly while we were in the great Halfwayhouse) is not acceptable. Either one engages a Marshal who does his job right or none at all.
We had another negative experience with the exceptionally arrogant and unfriendly members. As we approached the Halfway House, a three-fligth of members began to curs over us and insult us. I (HCP 19) have the place on a Sunday played on the way back from the Tyrol in Switzerland.
First impressions: Much peace, beautiful mountains and relaxed Club members. The reception was very friendly and professional.
The course is playing fair despite some elevations and fits snugly into the landscape. After nine holes (not the clubhouse but at the highest point of the round) awaits a cozy wooden hut to pause Schmaus... again very relaxed the whole. The final hole before the Club terrace is a par 3 over a small lake which provides the last kick of the round!
