Beautiful spot in poor condition

The dry summer is certainly causing difficulties for many golf courses in terms of irrigation.
This otherwise very beautiful golf course with excellent fast greens was, however, in a terrible state of maintenance:
On the front nine, it was difficult to even find the fairway because it was completely dried out and the grass was left so high that it was like playing a semi-rough if you ever managed to find a tuft of grass.
The Back Nine were not quite as dried out, probably due to the peaty soil, but at least they had been mowed a little further down.
Many of the tee shots were like camel humps.
It's clear that you can't mow the fairway as low as usual in this dry weather, but this was simply too high.
Actually, the secretary should have offered us a discounted welcome fee, given the condition of the building.

Beautiful varied course

A very beautiful course awaited us here. The front 9 were in very good condition. The fairways were mown short and the greens were fast. The back 9 were in relatively good condition due to the heavy rain of the last few days. The course offers a lot of variety. The greens are very well defended by bunkers or water hazards.
We received a very friendly welcome in the office. The restaurant is also worth recommending. At the end we had an apple strudel with a birdie shot.
The only thing that is confusing is the sign for the 8th tee. This points towards the forest. So we had to look for a bit to find out where we should go.

Due to catastrophic weather conditions, we were unfortunately only able to play nine holes, but they had a lot to offer: a great panorama with a view of the mountains, inclines, slopes, water hazards. Sometimes you have to think about how to play the hole or allude to the green in a meaningful way. Despite the wet, the open front nine were in very good condition and the greens were still quite fast.
In addition to the place, you definitely have to highlight the gastronomy and the hotel business: perfect service, very friendly and filled staff, best performance, great kitchen, large, well furnished rooms. Holidays are fun here.
