Characteristics
The course is situated directly outside the city limits of Bamberg on the protected Leimershof estate. The sophisticated course is embedded in a sloped landscape typical of Franconia and framed by forest on three sides. Numerous slopes, skillfully-placed bunkers, and undulating greens are the special features of the course. Elderly players or people with a limp are recommended to get a cart.

Good condition; plays quite long!

I enjoyed my day at GC Leimershof. The course was in good condition, it was a shame though that my golf game wasn't!
The course is long already at 6000m+ but with the gradients it plays even longer.
To be critical; i think there should be a few more fairway bunkers introduced as off almost every par 4 or 5 tee i was using my driver with relatively no consequence. I like it when courses make you think a bit more rather than just making you hit it as far as possible each time. That said, the difficulty rating would increase dramatically due to the length of most holes.
Fees were still at off season rate; summer prices look quite high.
I'm looking forward to returning again soon- but i might have to go to the gym for a while beforehand though ;)

A wonderful May Day round

It's a course surrounded by beautiful scenery. A golf cart is recommended. The reception was very friendly, and the tips were helpful. We played the course for the first time and had trouble figuring out what to expect after teeing off on some holes. The greens were unpredictable, certainly due to the early season. The overall impression is this: a very well-maintained course in a beautiful landscape, with excellent value for money. The restaurant is also excellent. We'll be back!

A bit challenging to walk

We were passing through and wanted to play a round of golf.
The place was already pretty dry. Fairways were almost unplayable as there were more dry than green spots.
A second time we would certainly not play this course. That's not worth the 140€ for 2 players. And then the card on top.
There are certainly much nicer places
