Characteristics
The spacious course is located on a slightly hilly terrain on a ridge of the Upper Palatinate Highlands. The fairways are mostly bordered on by coniferous forest which frames the course in an appropriate distance. The varied course with its hanging fairways, attractively situated on a high plateau, demands a precise game. Two new holes (since 2006) and the altered way the fairways take make the course even more attractive.

Basically: a higher rating is not doing the club any favors. Expectations are raised that the place cannot meet.
Also, at least in this very dry period, the course can be very frustrating to play. Played the fairway above, found the ball below out of bounds. And this is possible on several tracks.
Ways to the next tee are signposted, but some of them lead over a fairway. Basically it goes back and forth. .. with lanes 5,6,7 and 15,16 slightly off the beaten track. ... But the greens and tees were very well maintained. For foot sick? a car is recommended.
