Characteristics
The attractive course is situated in the beautiful area of the Zurich Uplands with harboured nature and forest landscapes. The course offers visibiltity on the Pfäffiker and the Greifen Lake. The area disposes of a light stock of trees within the fairways and is framed by bordering nature reserve zones and forest. For good players, too, this course is a technical challenge.

The restaurant is the heart of club life, offering a stylish atmosphere, a unique terrace with Alpine views, and a refined lounge. It is open daily from 9:00 AM during the season (Mondays until 6:00 PM). On tournament days, it opens one hour before the first flight. Table reservations can be made by phone or email.

I played the Zurich Meisterschaften there last year, and liked the course very much. It is situated about 40 minutes drive from Zurich city high up on a hill in the forest. I prefer this style of golf course over the more "open field" type of courses, where precision play does not matter. Each hole is more or less on its own, some pretty narrow and tricky approaches to get the ball into a good position. Overall well kept and up to a high standard. From the club house you have a magnificent view, where you can enjoy the sunset with a cold drink. The training facilities could be better though. However, I would warmly recommend playing Hittnau to any of my friends.
