Characteristics
The club is situated a few kilometres away from Pordenone, the biggest city in lower Friaul. It is located in the plains, but the mountains aren't far away and form a natural horizon. A bit farther off in the other direction you can feel the sea, from where every now and again the Bora blows, a stormy wind, which cleans the air and makes it crystal clear. The fairways are located on undulating terrain with numerous high trees.

Unfortunately the order of the holes must have been reversed. Which makes organizational sense since the first 9 holes seem to be the more popular holes. They are wonderful holes for high handicappers and not much can go wrong because they are infinitely wide. However, length is required on some holes. The second 9 are much more demanding as it is really tight and sometimes blind. But the fun only begins after the cardiologist's journey to the 13th.
Unfortunately, the condition of the place was only moderate. The tees had suffered significantly and the fairways were partly grassless. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed on a Monday. Nevertheless, a great price-performance ratio.

We did it simply and played a 9-hole evening round in Pordenone! The new 9holes 10-18 are flat, young and totally unspectacular, you can already see them from the parking lot!
We were looking forward to the old 9 holes in the castle garden! In terms of their maintenance status, these are the best there is to play in Friuli! The layout is great and the design is venerable in a tight space! Ancient trees flank the partly narrow paths! Fairways and greens without any flaws, 5 stars plus! 9-hole 1-9 for 35, - € almost a bargain for optics and maintenance ... !!! Absolutely great!

We (Hcp: 19/22) played the course at the end of October 2018. There are serious changes since our last visit. The very large clubhouse was newly built, down in the plain, and has little charm. Unfortunately, the necessary infrastructure is missing (yet), such as: cleaning system with compressed air, etc. The driving range is also still at the old place and therefore far away.
The Front Nine now start with two long par 4/5 along the railway line and then go up the forest hill. These holes are narrow and very interesting to play. However, the signage must be significantly improved. The back nine in the plain are a bit monotonous despite some water hazards. The Green Keeping and the care of the place (plastic mats on tees, etc.) seems rather loveless.
All in all: Due to the renovation of the place has not really won and the funds for the clubhouse would have been more meaningful invested in the place.
