Characteristics
The golf club is situated above Premeno near the Lago Maggiore in an altitude of 1.000 m. It is a course with double tee boxes in a magnificent environment with view on the Lago Maggiore, other smaller lakes and several Alp peeks, amongst them the Mottarone and the Monte Rosa. The course is surrounded by confifer forests and doesn't only seem inviting because of the nice environment but also because of the varied fairways.

Building a 9 hole golf course on this site in the 1950s took a lot of imagination.
Now the course is in a deep slumber. We were the only players on a Wednesday morning.
The course is challenging, also due to the topology at a height of 1,000 m.

Unfortunately we can only give this place 3 stars. It's a shame, because it has potential and the panorama is terrific. The reception was friendly. However, the season is apparently over here in mid-October. And that at 15 degrees and bright sunshine. The practice area, if you can call it that, was uncut. No chipping or pitching. The “driving range” consisted of 4 tee mats and a ball machine with a foot pedal that got stuck and only threw 6 unwashed balls after the token was thrown in. The fairways and the greens themselves were extremely hard, probably due to the dry summer. You had to look exactly where the balls jumped. A constant up and down required precise play. The greens were quick but full of leaves and pine needles. The paths between the greens and tees were a single disaster. Bumpy, irregular wooden beams that made it almost impossible to push. All in all, all very unkind, there is a lot to improve here.
