⛳ The Alsatian Golf Club – water, challenge and lots of fun

My first round on this course – and I got a little lesson in respecting water hazards. 😄 The course is really challenging, and it seems like water always comes into play when you least need it. My ball got to know it a few times, too. 🌊🏌️‍♂️

Nevertheless, my score was perfectly respectable: 1 birdie (unforgettable on the 12th) and 7 pars on this challenging course are, I think, quite impressive. The rest was… let's just say: a learning experience. 😉

Since I started as a solo player, I was assigned to a group with two local players/club members. In hindsight, a real stroke of luck! They both knew the course extremely well and were able to give me some helpful tips – and most importantly, we had a lot of fun on the course.

It was precisely this combination of a challenging course, plenty of water and a really nice group of fellow players that made the round a great experience and one of the highlights of this golfing year for me.

Conclusion: An interesting and challenging golf course that shouldn't be underestimated on your first visit. 😉 And if you're lucky enough to play with two friendly locals, it makes the whole experience twice as enjoyable.

Gladly again – next time I'll try to sacrifice a few less balls to the water! 😂🏌️‍♂️

Complaint to club management

We sent an email requesting a tee time for four people. Unfortunately, no one from the club responded to our email. We have since sent several emails in both German and English to the club and still haven't received a reply. When we then called to inquire why no one had responded to our request, we were told they couldn't answer all inquiries and the call simply ended. What kind of business practice is that?

Beautiful plant

Very nice facility, with great variety and many water hazards, could be enough for 5*.
The greens were very good, the reception was very friendly, the overall ensemble of reception and clubhouse was appealing.
Unfortunately, the fairways show heat deficiencies and also the effects of heavy rain.
Unfortunately, these places are not marked in blue in many places!
Some fairways are located along poplar avenues with many dry leaves even in August, which does not rule out ball loss on fairways.
For 5* these fairways should be swept daily!
Also not worthy of 5* was that the restaurant closes at 3pm (except for cakes)
