Characteristics
Founded in 1935, the Golf Club of Strasbourg is the oldest golf club in Alsace. Located in Illkirch-Graffenstaden, just outside Strasbourg, it extends over 95 hectares and features 27 holes, partly designed by architect Donald Harradine, as well as a comprehensive practice facility. A benchmark for golf in Alsace, the club has combined heritage, sporting excellence and conviviality for more than 90 years.

Exceptionally friendly welcome, we were allowed to check out 2 hours earlier than booked without any problem.
Nice old clubhouse and nice service on the terrace.
The course is very well maintained, with beautiful old trees. The greens were the best in Alsace in August 24.

First things first: the place is flat, at best slightly wavy. fairways were good; the greens were in good shape, mostly slightly undulating but not a big challenge; bunker sand almost too very good; course description at the tea box very thin.
The course has 3x9 holes and we played WHITE and RED (there is still YELLOW).
WEISS offers almost barrier-free!! golf courses, lined with older, slightly loose trees without undergrowth. ie you can find almost every ball. these 9 holes are a rather bland matter. it all looks about the same. after the 9th hole you can hardly remember anything special. rating: modest 3 *.
RED - the second nine - was a class better. there are now also obstacles - water, sand bunkers and it gets a lot narrower and the trees denser. the first 5 holes offer really nice golf. then the requirement is slightly screwed down, except that length is required. rating: middle 4 *.
the infrastructure around it is very good and the 19th hole has a good restaurant. exceptionally courteous service in the pro shop.
I opted for a 3 * rating (instead of a scarce 4 *) because I don't see that I have to complete a fade 9 hole first before the golfing pleasure starts slowly from hole 10.
