The golf course lies in idyllic surroundings between vineyards in Škalce, next to the town Slovenske Konjice. It is entirely surrounded by vineyards. Playing fields are variegated with a brook, which flows in the middle of the golf course, water hazards, wood and shrubbery.

None of the holes are flat, everything is uneven, which is quite challenging. The holes are quite narrow and do not forgive mistakes. The surroundings is very nice, between vineyards. The clubhouse could be better, but for this small course, it may be okay.

Of course I have also played a few golf courses near vines, but never directly on the vineyard and sometimes through it! The very hilly, sometimes steep 9-hole pearl is still walkable! The course was well maintained despite the very heavy rain of the previous days. The 9-hole layout is quite something due to the topography! In terms of landscape, the course on the vineyard of the same name is a 6-star course, as it is pretty unique in Europe! Buy a case of wine after the round and enjoy it straight away, perfect!

Golf at the 9-hole course, spend the night in a super apartment (house from the 15th century with 3 apartments) overlooking the golf course, winery Zlati Gric and perfect gastronomy (lunch 3- or 4-course menus but also possible individually - great 20.- or 28.- €), in the evening magnificent terrace overlooking the golf course and the vineyards, all within walking distance!
