Characteristics
This course was set up as early as 1926 on a huge terrain that once served as a parade for the Count's and the royal troops. Despite its narrow setup, this course counts among the most difficult ones in Lower Saxony. The very huge population of old trees and the narrow fairways require a good amount of precision. The terraced greens are hard to negotiate and well-protected by bunkers.

Great place with old trees and almost 100 years of tradition

The club was founded in 1926 and is now located in the city area. At that time, club was still written with a "K", which was retained that way! The course has a lot of ups and downs, and in combination with the very old trees and some water hazards it is great to play. The greenkeeping is very committed, and so even in times of little rain, with its own fountain, the course is in significantly better condition than most of the courses in the surrounding area. The greens are always well maintained. Unfortunately, like everywhere else, there are golfers who do not remove their pitch marks. But that has nothing to do with the club and the course.
The Rudolph restaurant is located in the new, modern clubhouse. The food and drink selection is very good, and from the terrace you have a nice view of holes 1,9 and 10 as well as the putting green and chipping/pitching green.

The Golf Club Braunschweig is a very beautiful parkland course with a beautiful, old trees. The terrain is hilly, so that there are always nice downhill or mountain climbs. The fairways are wide enough and very fair playable. The greens are sufficiently fast and consistent, they often have breaks that should not be underestimated. The golf club has a very nice, newly built clubhouse and both the staff and the club members were very friendly. Overall, the Golf Club Braunschweig is absolutely recommended.

Played on 09/06/2016. The mostly flat 18-hole course at parkland directly in Braunschweig offers golfers all the challenges they need, but also higher HC should get along well. There are some water hazards, doglegs and plenty of well placed bunkers. There are some elevated tees available in most open fairways. However, you need to consider some of bounds. The condition was okay, grew up some fairways but increased dandelion. The greens that are slightly undulating were in top order, quickly and faithfully. The first six tracks to play along a hospital and a large parking lot. Appropriate traffic noise, even of a street can be heard. From the seventh track, it is then much more idyllic.
