The golf course is slightly hilly. Situated on a hill, it can be subject to strong winds.
But also partly with beautiful views of the surrounding hills and mountains, with the Harz Mountains in the background.
The course has wide fairways and little rough. The holes are separated by trees.
Lanes 10 and 11 are interesting.
There is a double green for 9 and 18.
Overall an easy course to play.

Pure nature - classic parkland course, quiet, many larger birds (birds of prey, herons, ...). Nice landscape with no highlights worth mentioning.
Likewise the lanes - no real highlights (spectacularly raised tees, etc.), some doglegs, otherwise rather "inconspicuous". Not extremely difficult to play - somewhat elongated (just under 6,100m from YELLOW), but PAR 73. Occasionally water hazards, but these are mostly to the side and can be easily removed from the game (exception: the somewhat unfair hole 3, where the Water lies across in front of the green and cannot be seen due to the second shot, which is usually blind).
The greens are interesting - not particularly fast, but with steeper slopes.
The maintenance condition was not outstanding, but except for a green bunker at 9 (a lot of thick stones in the sand), OK.
If you feel physically challenged by moderately hilly terrain, you should take a cart - it is not absolutely necessary.
Conclusion: Nothing special, you can play (again) when you are in the Harz Mountains anyway - you don't have to go there. Almost 3 stars. (In the "Golf Bear Ranking": 5 out of 10 points.)

The golf course Rittergut Hedwigsburg is surrounded by a lot of nature and therefore perfect to relax with a round of golf. There are both challenging tracks, as well as tracks that you can master as a beginner without despair - a very good mix! From train 8 you can enjoy the view of the Brocken.
After the round, we went to the restaurant where we ate the best Kaiserschmarrn in the world. The map is very diverse, here everyone finds something to his taste. Also the service was nice and we did not have to wait long for our food.
