Characteristics

Offering a truly elevated experience, Golf de Tignes holds the title of Europe's highest 18-hole golf course. Situated at an altitude of 2,100 meters beneath the majestic Grande Motte glacier, this unique course winds along the mountainside with breathtaking views of the turquoise Tignes Lake. The layout presents a technical challenge with narrow fairways, elevated greens, and natural obstacles including ravines and streams that demand precision over power. Known affectionately as the "Marmot Course," players are often accompanied by the local wildlife resident on the fairways. Open only during the summer months, the club maintains a strict eco-friendly approach using natural fertilizers, making it a pristine alpine escape for golfers seeking fresh mountain air.
