Good value for money

I played the course on August 17,2026. There had been weeks of extreme heat beforehand, and the evening before, a storm with heavy rain had hit. Consequently, some cleanup work was still needed on the day of play, but the greenkeepers were working diligently. Considering the preceding heatwave, I found the course to be in surprisingly good condition. The greens and fairways are perfectly acceptable, and the bunkers are actually quite dry. In any case, the bunkers don't pose much of a challenge; the numerous water hazards are more of a concern. The first nine holes are flat, while the back nine have significant elevation changes and are all interestingly designed. Those who have difficulty walking should use a golf cart. The fact that the fairways are rarely flat and generally slope down adds to the course's sporting appeal.
All in all, a down-to-earth campsite at a very fair price. It certainly doesn't offer a lot of luxury, but it has everything you need in sufficient quantity. The sanitary facilities, including towels (and a sauna), are by no means bad. The restaurant is also large and good. Unfortunately, the location doesn't offer a view of the campsite.

Nice place, worth the money

The course is in good condition; a truly beautiful, expansive parkland course. The club has clearly done a lot to address the issues mentioned in previous reviews. The fairways and greens are enjoyable, only the bunkers are hard or washed out due to the rain of the previous weeks. From June 16th to mid-July, different grass will be added to several of the fairways to improve the quality, so some restrictions are to be expected. However, I would make the hour-long drive from Luino again to play the course. It's definitely worth the €50 during the week.

What a pity

I can confirm most of the previous reviews. The course actually has its charm - especially the second nine, very hilly holes, are interestingly laid out and exciting to play.

But unfortunately the condition of the place was (also) very bad during my visit.

Tees: Underground - long, bristly grass/weeds everywhere

Fairways: Either grass/weeds that are far too long or huge areas of clay/sand without a blade of grass. Before my visit it rained very heavily and wild boars dug up large areas - that was just additional bad luck.

Semi and rough: Sometimes it is impossible to tell them apart visually.

Bunkers: Were still in the best shape and playable.

Greens: Not bad visually, but mostly cut far too long and therefore slow and sticky.

The €50 (€35 on Wednesdays) for one round was a bad investment under these conditions.

The staff was ok, and thanks to the wonderful weather, we were able to relax and wash away our frustration on the terrace afterwards.

Dear Thola, thank you for taking the time to write a review.
Unfortunately, a period of over a month of high temperatures caused us major maintenance problems.
We are working to change the composition of the turf and not suffer anymore next summer.
Come back and visit us, we are waiting for you!!!
