Characteristics
The golf club is situated in a magnificent old park with high trees and selected flowers above the Lago Maggiore and the Lago Monate with a panoramic view on the Monte-Rosa-Massif. Next to the 18 hole course the course also offers visitors restaurants, conference rooms, tennis courts, riding stables as well as a cozy and at the same time practical club house, in which you can relax after a challenging round.

What a pity

I can confirm most of the previous reviews. The course actually has its charm - especially the second nine, very hilly holes, are interestingly laid out and exciting to play.
But unfortunately the condition of the place was (also) very bad during my visit.
Tees: Underground - long, bristly grass/weeds everywhere
Fairways: Either grass/weeds that are far too long or huge areas of clay/sand without a blade of grass. Before my visit it rained very heavily and wild boars dug up large areas - that was just additional bad luck.
Semi and rough: Sometimes it is impossible to tell them apart visually.
Bunkers: Were still in the best shape and playable.
Greens: Not bad visually, but mostly cut far too long and therefore slow and sticky.
The €50 (€35 on Wednesdays) for one round was a bad investment under these conditions.
The staff was ok, and thanks to the wonderful weather, we were able to relax and wash away our frustration on the terrace afterwards.

Place played on April 20th, 2023 a very varied and interesting place. Climbs (holes 10-14) follow, which are an additional challenge.
The fareways and most of the greens were in good condition.
Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of the bunkers and above all the rest of the area: care would be urgently needed!
Then more than the currently cheap 50 € should be asked for without hesitation.

Dei Laghi is a beautiful and relatively flat parkland course from the old Italian golf design school! Large trees, moats and good greens that are not always easy to play. The entire area could be better maintained, too many foreign grasses, especially on the greens, they don't hinder putting, but don't look particularly good...!
In contrast, the staff in the pro shop and kitchen are very nice! Ps .: The pizzas after the round are a pleasure ... !!!
