Founded in 1984 as the first golf course in the Drôme department, Golf de Valence Saint Didier offers a harmonious 18-hole course designed by architects Thierry Sprecher and Géry Watine. Located in Charpey, the layout (Par 71, 5649m) seamlessly alternates between flat plains, undulating terrain, and wooded areas. A unique highlight is the signature 9th hole, featuring a heart-shaped green and offering panoramic views of the village of Marches. The experience is complemented by comprehensive practice facilities and a comfortable clubhouse with a restaurant, perfect for a relaxing post-round break.

Peace and nature at a fair price

We (Hcp 9 + 11) played the course on April 6,2021. The tees and fairways were good. In addition, some weeds and daisies have appeared. At each tee there is a notice board about the track. The entire place is characterized by old trees. The tracks are often narrow. But there are hardly any water hazards and rarely a fairway bunker. The only big difference in altitude is at hole 10, the green of which is a heart. What is special is that you are not at the clubhouse after 9 holes. Nevertheless, it is possible to only play a number 9. Because of Corona we only paid half the green fee 29 €. We're playing the course again, because it's quiet and barely busy here.
