Characteristics
Located in the heart of the Drôme Provençale near Montélimar, Golf de la Valdaine is set within a lush 76-hectare estate. As the most southerly course in the Rhône-Alpes region, it offers a distinct Mediterranean atmosphere filled with the scents of Provence. The 18-hole course provides a varied challenge for all skill levels: the front nine is generally wide and open, whereas the back nine becomes narrower, demanding greater technical precision. Excellent practice facilities, including a driving range and short-game areas, complement the sporting experience in this relaxing setting.

The golf school offers individual and group lessons for all levels, including junior programs from 4 years old (Baby Golf to elite group) and adult programs for beginners and advanced players. Junior school runs from September to June.

On the way to Provence we spontaneously played a game. The reception was friendly; We paid a total of around Euro 125 for two people. The layout of the course is tip top, easier holes alternate with more difficult situations. The greens are not big, but great. The bunkers are not well maintained, but not totally bad. The fairways are 2/3 not worthy of the name. No grass, hard ground, foreign grass alternate. The fairways are probably not holed regularly or sanded. The fairways probably get worse from year to year. The hotel and restaurant were closed, probably forever. The lid was missing in the toilet... It's a shame, the space deserved more care and more investment. - End of September 2023
