After our trip to the West Palatinate Golf Club (more there) we turned off to France with our camper to play there on a recommendation. We drove there very spontaneously, arriving late, we were allowed to spend the night in the parking lot and shortly before the end of the day we had received a start time at 9:20 from a very tired (obviously a strenuous day) secretary.
At night another camper arrived in the parking lot, otherwise we were there alone. As we found out the next day, it is not very common there that campers “get lost” here.
The place turned out to be wet in the morning and wonderfully glittering when the weather was wonderful, which made it difficult to find the ball on the first two lanes against the sun... but didn't reduce the fun. About two years ago, my wife and I moved from the Rhine-Main area to Dahn Rockland. After trying a few places in the region, we decided to go to the Bitche Golf Club in Alsace-Lorraine, near the border. We have been playing this 27-hole course for 2 years with great joy. The whole area is in a great care condition and the icing is the completed in the summer of 2018 converted clubhouse.
