Beautiful place, nice staff
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed June 8, 2026
I won a voucher at a tournament and played the course last Saturday. My handicap is around 7. I've played on over 80 golf courses, so I think I can give a good opinion.
The resort is beautifully situated in a remote location; the parking lot is somewhat secluded, and the reception area is separate from the restaurant and changing rooms. The restaurant is a lightweight building with a lovely terrace. The menu is good, and the prices are average.
There is a nice "Halfway" House located between several tees/greens where you can also get drinks.
The staff at reception and in the restaurant were very friendly; I felt very welcome as a guest.
The layout is very nice, only the last four holes seem somewhat disconnected; the first 14 are more seamlessly connected, giving the impression that there wasn't enough space for all 18 holes on one side. Nevertheless, the last four holes are quite alright, but not as beautiful as the rest.
The island greens in particular (a par 3 with an elevated tee and the 18th) are truly spectacular. Other holes also have great highlights, such as pot bunkers or split fairways.
The sand in the bunkers is SUPER, that's often a topic of discussion, but here it's like the South Seas, presumably it was recently refilled, I've rarely had so much fine sand in the bunker, unfortunately I also had to make good use of it.
The greens are fast and impeccably maintained; this is above average.
Back to the layout: from the yellow tees, there are at least two par 4s (7 & 14) where bunkers or water hazards are so well placed that even with good distance, you either have quite long approaches or have to take a huge risk. I thought that was great; on the 14th, I unleashed a powerful shot and just barely made it onto the fairway behind the water with a 245-meter drive. On the 7th, the fairway bunkers did their job, and I had no chance of getting a green in play. I think that's finally consistent and up-to-date, because the age of courses is often evident from the fact that the hazards are placed far too close together.
You should also aim fairly straight, as there are some narrow fairways or long bunkers on short par 4s where there is simply no choice but to land in the middle.
Last point, the greens: here, finally, risky approaches/chips actually roll back or away into the dips, because the greens are fast enough and also undulating. I'm used to the ball simply staying put despite the slope, so there's no penalty. Here it's different, and that's how it should be.
I played the course for the first time. I've been in good form the last few weeks, no score over 85. On Saturday I had a smooth 94 ;). So you have to play smart and stay on target, otherwise things can go wrong quickly.
I'd love to come back. Great place!

All around great golf course
4.0 of 5 starsReviewed August 2, 2025
The course was in excellent condition, with perfect greens and lovingly designed details. A beautifully designed halfway house and plenty of restrooms were also available.
Super friendly staff and top service in the restaurant.
The only thing that irritated us was the design and the order of lanes 15-18.
We (HCs 16 and 14) absolutely cannot agree with any of the bad reviews!

A picture-perfect place – top-notch maintenance, stunning scenery. Friendly members, helpful staff – you feel welcome here. The restaurant with its beach vibes was unfortunately closed, but: We'll be back.
This place belongs on every bucket list!
