Characteristics
This spacious championship course was set up on a terrain of more than 230 acres. Thanks to the thorough drainage and the setup of the greens, golfers can play on the course year-round and do not have to poke around in the mud or putt on bumpy greens in winter. The terrain is relatively level and has a slightly undulating surface. The yardage from the professional teeing grounds is 6,292 meter, thus providing a true challenge even for seasoned players.

Nice golfing in Krefeld on a currently not so nice place
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed August 6, 2023
Played golf again on August 5th, 2023 in Krefeld after a long time. As part of the 3 days of "Beautiful Golfing in Krefeld", the advertising for the exhibition and the associated reduced green fee of €50 at the weekend lured us to the "Leading Course Germany". Lt. Homepage "one of the best golf clubs in Germany". To say the least, I can't confirm that at the moment. The exhibition was great, but the condition was not worthy of a "leading" club and I wonder when the last test was carried out here. On many holes, the area between the tees and the fairway resembled a field and should have been better marked as ground under repair. Also on the fairways sometimes a lot of bare and bumpy spots. Here, especially on lanes 8 and 11, I remember them almost continuously. Some of the greens weren't particularly pretty either and had nothing to do with the putting green at the clubhouse. The bunkers on the back nine where we teeed off at around 12 noon were not prepared for this. The mowed grass from the fairways was in large parts on the fairways. And all this on a "promotional day" for the club. If I had paid the standard green fee of 85 € I would have complained for sure. In addition, lane 9 was shortened, although the winter green could have been made behind the pond. What was not announced, however, was that lane 7 was also greatly shortened, although the reason for this was not revealed to me. The lady in the clubhouse and the marshal were very friendly. Most of the members also gave a friendly greeting. The course has a good design and is actually fun. He is the star, but given the current state of affairs in the high season, I can unfortunately only give three stars with good will. There may be a problem with greenkeeping. In 2013 I had played the course in top condition. It remains to be hoped that this will be achieved again. There are places in the vicinity that are currently in top condition, such as Erftaue or Velderhof.

Good place, condition neat except for the
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed June 8, 2022
The complex is quite nice and the first impression upon arrival is very pleasant. The reception at the counter in the pro shop is very friendly. The course is quite long, often requiring accurate play and good course management.
The course was quite dry in early June but well maintained. Only the bunkers sometimes had little sand, were often very hard and unfortunately not properly raked. The gastronomy was good and the service friendly. The prices are a bit higher but still reasonable.

Mixed golf day
3.0 of 5 starsReviewed January 10, 2022
Due to the great wetness of the last few days (played on January 6th, 2022) the course was actually completely soaked and actually not playable. Can't understand why a golf course is left open under these circumstances (probably compulsion from the members, some of whom cannot say hello). This doesn't make the tracks any better.
We wanted to play this course in any case and we dared it in the wet because many members had booked. (fortunately two for one voucher).
Basically a long and sometimes demanding course, but there are hardly any holes in your memory (except for track 9 and d18 where you play towards the mill).
Proximity to the motorway was not so annoying, but it always has it with some holes as background noise. I personally find the road that divides the golf course in two halves annoying. and therefore also a certain background noise with the railways on the street.
The greens at this time of year were positive and made a very well-kept impression and were on track.
Maybe I'll play this course again under better conditions and maybe a better picture will emerge.
