Characteristics
This spacious championship course was set up on a terrain of more than 230 acres. Thanks to the thorough drainage and the setup of the greens, golfers can play on the course year-round and do not have to poke around in the mud or putt on bumpy greens in winter. The terrain is relatively level and has a slightly undulating surface. The yardage from the professional teeing grounds is 6,292 meter, thus providing a true challenge even for seasoned players.

On Sunday, October 11,2026, our group played the course. We booked through the Mercure Hotel, which is right next door. The voucher, €60 per player, didn't arrive at the club on time. Fine. We immediately noticed the poor condition of the practice green. Controlled pacing was absolutely impossible. There were patches without grass and furrows all over the green. Then came the start on the first tee. Only 20% of the teeing area had grass. The rest was just bare sand. The fairway was poorly mowed, if at all, making it difficult to see. Large bare patches weren't just isolated spots across all the fairways. We were extremely disappointed with the people who run this club. There was no honest, readily available information on the current page of the website. The information about the reduced green fee only came after the round when we complained. The excuse that the irrigation system failed during the summer and was the sole reason for the poor condition is simply not true. We eventually paid a green fee of €42, albeit belatedly. This course used to be very good... now it's unplayable.

I've been a member of the formerly leading golf club since 2021. Today it's a disaster. There are only three groundskeepers left, and they haven't had a qualified head greenkeeper for 16 months. Most of the greens are dried out, bunkers are full of stones, and fairway irrigation is a thing of the past. The tee boxes are named after places like Namib and Sahara.
