Characteristics
The massive grey building of the monastery of Luvinate sharply contrasts with the green of the golf course, which spreads in waves over the Campo dei Fiori. Whereever you go on this golf course, you will always feel the vintage atmosphere of the in 1934 founded club, which is equipped with tricky and long courses. Great course, spectacular views and an incredible clubhouse.
What a nice surprise to play here, although I did not play my best game.

GC Varese is a very nice course near Lago di Varese. The good part of the course is that there is hardly any greenfee players and members playing during weekdays. We played several rounds on fridays and never had to book a teetime.
Play 18 holes and you will find a well prepared golfcourse with very attractive holes and nice lakeviews. After this the food at the restaurant is very good aswell, that makes a trip to Varese worthwhile.

Both of us, handicap 11, have played the course three times in different seasons over the past six years because we like the varied layout and the mature trees. The quality remained consistently good on May 23,2025. We were surprised that the course wasn't busier for a Friday afternoon. We can't say anything negative about the price, as we played for half price thanks to Golfamore. We'd be happy to come back.
