Characteristics
The Championship Golf Course is laid out in a magnificent natural surrounding: more than 7000 trees including centuries-old oak and beech trees, a well-kept lawn and the storks wandering on the field. The 18 holes, harmoniously integrated in the over 85 hectares of grounds, are very playlable, funny and technically challenging. Designed by John Herris, Marco Croze and Fulvio Bani, the golf course is a Par 72.
The Villaverde Golf & Wellness Academy has a modern approach that combines technology with a variety of instructional programs wich enhance our clients' overall quality and well-being. The Swing Studio is equipped with FlightScope, BodiTrak, SAM Puttlab and V1 for the perfect training.
The Villaverde Hotel & Resort Wellness Spa & Golf is about 300m away and reached via a bridge linking the Resort to golf course.
The region Friuli Venezia Giulia offers different landscapes: from the Adriatic see with sandy beaches or rocky coasts, to the hills and the mountains. A place of multiple flavors, thanks to its famous wines and its food.

Challenging parkland course

The renovation was worth it. A beautiful parkland course in the hills of Udine. Fairways are very good, thanks to robotic lawnmowers that operate even in the rain. Greens are too slow and bunkers are too compact, likely due to persistent rain.

We (both HCP 11) played here on Tuesday, September 17,2024. The DR is not far from the parking lot. The courses are embedded in the hilly terrain with a lot of variety. The old trees sometimes require precise shots. The labeling of the courses and paths is commendable. We got through perfectly on foot. In short, we would go back anytime.
