Characteristics
Tirrenia is situated halfway between Pisa and Livorno. The course fits harmonically in a terrain of 84 ha in the stone pine woods. All for the Mediterranean maquis typical charactersistics have remained. The atmosphere on the course, the magnificent green landscape, the quietude and the steady soft sea breeze characterise this course.

Been there start of Jul/2011. Nice fairways, small greens low speed (4?). Outside of fairways you cannot find ball in bushes, so careful conservative approach is better. No fixed teetimes, system play-as-you-come, which resulted probably from the fact, that people starting second nine mix with new-comers. No landscape views, nice old trees. Pleasant to play (9 is enough), but no reason to return.

The nine fairways are set in the middle of an old tree population. Excellent care is taken, not only of the fairways but also of the greens and around the greens. The course is very long and is not too easy even for low handicaps. The green fee for 18 holes during the week is extremely fair at €50. The club restaurant and the club facilities are also excellent. It is worth stopping by after a round of golf. The staff are very friendly and you feel welcome.

I have played this course several times about 10 years ago and no major changes have been made. It's easy to find with a navigation system. The reception is very friendly. The place is entirely in a forest. In hot weather you can always walk in the shade. The course has many doglegs and well-placed bunkers. It is also suitable for beginners and less experienced golfers. The restaurant is also worth a visit.
