Characteristics
The golf clubis situated in the same place where in the 16th century Pope Leo X, born as Giovann de' Medici, had his private hunting grounds. A technically demanding course with many small uprisings, bunkers and water hazards, consisting of different ditches and six ponds, where seagulls and herons are feeling quite at home. Children under 12 years are however denied access to the club house and the course.

What a surprise! In the area beween two freeways we did not expect such a magificent course: elegant layout of 27 holes, many ponds and waterways, superbly beautiful trees. A true parc of the old and rich Medici family. Very friendly and helpful staff at the reception, the caddy master and the restaurant. Each hole a joy to play. But take enough balls along: the water eats them up! Only downside: the Italian flights are dreadfully slow. Bring enough time and patience. There was no Marshall keeping the pace.
We also played Olgiata and Circolo (Aqua Santa) in the 3 days in Rome and like the Parco de'Medici the best. Also in value/price.

With great expectations we went to Rome around the square Parco de Medici to play. Unfortunately, we were totally disappointed. The fairways could not be described as such, it was partly bare earth. The bunkers were unkempt and in the square were an incredible number of cigarette butts. The court made an impression of neglect, perhaps because the season was not yet opened. For "normal green fee" of 80 euros you can expect a well-kept place. The place is basically demanding, and it is not to be understood why he is so heartless "maintained". Moreover, it is very noisy in the square by the nearby highway and the constant sirens of the police or the ambulance. We then thank God, still played some great places to Rome, who were in a state of super.
