Characteristics
Situated on a mountain ridge between the Überlingen and Radolfzell lakes, the so-called Bodanrück, the fairways cover a completely pristine landscape uninterrupted by roads or even telephone poles. The fairways are partly embedded into the woodlands and thus call for a precise aim.

Beautiful place with pitfalls

This course is very well-maintained with fast and difficult greens. In my opinion, I would say it's a bit too hilly; golf was invented on the flatlands. It winds beautifully and challengingly through a jungle-like woodland. The course often annoys you with challenging lies, and you find yourself uphill, downhill, or simply at an angle!
The receptionist is very friendly. At first, they couldn't provide us with a cart, but when one suddenly became available, they even ran after us. A cart is definitely recommended for all the elevation gain, and at least an electric trolley would be recommended.
The only drawback: an older couple, probably members of the club, was playing behind us, who were unteachable and reckless, hitting the ball up to 20 meters behind us. Very irritating!

Challenging course with beautiful views

I played the course for the first time on May 15,2025. It's a beautiful, but also challenging course. Right from the first hole, the fairway climbs quite steeply up the hill, while on other holes, such as hole 13, it descends steeply again. You have to contend with slopes just as much as with narrow fairways that run through the forest.
From some holes you have a very nice view of Lake Constance, for example hole 10.
I will always remember hole 15 with the two redwood trees in the middle of the fairway.

All good, except: What was the point of the intrusive, disruptive, informative lecture about superfluous, accumulated pseudo-knowledge at tee 15 from the gentleman (presumably a club player) who had driven up to tee 12 in a golf cart with his companion? "The higher-numbered hole has priority!" ...I was already at the tee anyway and had no interest in pondering my right to tee off as a guest player. At least the receptionist had allowed for some friendly, hospitable small talk during registration.
