Characteristics
The 18-hole Eastcourse spreads over an area of about 110 ha. From the golf course the golfer has wonderful panoramic views to the mountains of Rhön and Hessian Kegelspiel. The contemporary golf course offers ideal training possibilities on one of Germany's largest ranges. The 9 holes of the Westcourse spread over an overall area of about 35 ha on the same estate. From 2006 to 2012 the Eastcourse was used by the European Professionel Development Tour (EPD-Tour) for its final competiton.

We played as part of the "Your Golf Plus" package and received a friendly welcome from the office staff. Registration via email was very straightforward. The course was in good condition, and the greens were fine. It's also suitable for beginners, as it doesn't require much strategic play and the fairways are wide. We had a golf cart in the approximately 30-degree heat and were very happy about that. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed. Showers were available and clean. We can recommend this course. A very interesting, sporty and hilly layout, which also requires a few holes to be tackled more tactically than just pulling out the driver. You always have a very nice view over the square. In some places, however, a "few years" are still missing, mainly and especially with the trees. The condition of the course is one of the best in the region, with greens that are particularly loyal and fast in comparison. Overall definitely worth a visit, especially due to the very central location.

The eastern course is slightly hilly, with wide fairways. It is playable for every handicap, with some doglegs and strategically integrated bunkers. The place is very well maintained, overall a nice area. The green fee is, compared to many other places, with 55 euros not too high. Very clear recommendation.
