Characteristics
The 18-hole Eastcourse spreads over an area of about 110 ha. From the golf course the golfer has wonderful panoramic views to the mountains of Rhön and Hessian Kegelspiel. The contemporary golf course offers ideal training possibilities on one of Germany's largest ranges. The 9 holes of the Westcourse spread over an overall area of about 35 ha on the same estate. From 2006 to 2012 the Eastcourse was used by the European Professionel Development Tour (EPD-Tour) for its final competiton.

The campsite and the entire facility deserve top marks in every respect. The site makes a flawless impression at first glance, and the reception for us guests was very professional, friendly, and helpful.
In the end, however, the East Course completely won us over. A combination of a challenging, beautiful, and demanding first section with mature trees, sometimes even right in the middle of the fairway, water hazards crossing the fairway, several ponds, and a newer section with wide fairways, greater elevation changes, and numerous bunkers, makes the game a truly memorable experience. The greens are in top condition; meticulous care is evident in every detail. While the effects of the recent heat are visible, the course is still more green than yellow.
The course is definitely worth a visit, and you should play it more often to understand it and learn how to play it best. You can certainly find and enjoy fun, challenge, and excitement here.

We played as part of the "Your Golf Plus" package and received a friendly welcome from the office staff. Registration via email was very straightforward. The course was in good condition, and the greens were fine. It's also suitable for beginners, as it doesn't require much strategic play and the fairways are wide. We had a golf cart in the approximately 30-degree heat and were very happy about that. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed. Showers were available and clean. We can recommend this course. A very interesting, sporty and hilly layout, which also requires a few holes to be tackled more tactically than just pulling out the driver. You always have a very nice view over the square. In some places, however, a "few years" are still missing, mainly and especially with the trees. The condition of the course is one of the best in the region, with greens that are particularly loyal and fast in comparison. Overall definitely worth a visit, especially due to the very central location.
