Characteristics
The idyllic 18-holes course is situated directly at the foot of the Swabian Mountains and in immediate vicinity to the historic and picturesque castle Hohenzollern. The long and partly also narrow fairways are situated on slightly hilly terrain, surrounded by an old stock of trees and numerous juniper bushes. Almost every part of this course offers magnificent views on the castle Hohenzollern and the nearby mountain range.

Very challenging course with great greens. Fairways were a bit wet and muddy. Roughs on se ond nine are killing. Bring your accuracy in shape on this course. Amenities are ok, well maintained driving range. Weak point here is hole 19th. Honestly would expect better service, especially on weekends. As I always review whole picture I say its just average compare to other places I already visited.

Get your iron play into shape, the starting and finishing holes demand it. Fantastic and challenging course. Great experience all the way around. Nice reception, friendly players. Only bad hole was the 19. I ordered a carpaccio. I ended up facing a plate of grey meat which turned out to be deep frozen. I send it back and soon after the chef entered with the same plate of frozen meat and explained that this is how it is supposed to be. I shrugged it off, left my plate and paid. I will be playing the course again, but next time I will eat somewhere else.

The people at reception were very friendly, which immediately put us in a great mood. Our cart was equipped with a cooler. With temperatures over 30 degrees Celsius, that was absolutely fantastic.
The course is very challenging with many slopes. It also features frequent ups and downs. Despite the dry conditions, the greens were in excellent condition. Between holes 6 and 7, and again on the return between holes 15 and 16, there is a long walk through the woods. Using a golf cart is highly recommended.
