Characteristics
The golf course situated in the midst of the Lauenburg Lakes natural preserve was harmonically integrated into the hedgerow landscape typical of Holstein featuring a population of old trees. Some of the holes were laid out as forest aisles through pine and spruce forests. The course is almost level and only features a few ground waves, so that it is comfortable to play on during almost any season.

Considering the drought of the past few weeks, the course was in excellent condition. The holes run parallel to each other, and the layout is rather uninteresting. It reminds us of Bremen – Oberneuland. The signature hole is certainly hole 15.

I can only agree with the previous speakers, we always enjoy playing the course itself. It's just fun to play golf here. Everything in good condition including fast greens.
The only downer on our last visit was the clubhouse, which was closed at 4 p.m. You could neither shower (after a rain lap) nor go to the toilet. That's what I call a service desert. The club should think about remedy as soon as possible.

Beautiful, comfortable parkland course

At the beginning of Sept. 2022 I played the course together with friends.
The reception was friendly professional. The practice area adequate with fast putting greens. As soon as you arrive at the resort, you will feel a sense of generosity and tranquillity. The tracks are generously embedded in a forest area with old trees. As already described, the trees hardly come into play. The tees and greens were in top condition. The fairways were extremely dry and fast due to the weather, so iron shots were enough to reach the greens in regulation. The lanes of the front nine are slightly easier to play than the back nine. On this course there was never any stress either from the design or from the flow of the game. The place was surprisingly well attended for a Monday. The members were very nice and helpful.
The cozy clubhouse and the gastro with a large terrace from which you have a wonderful view of the practice greens and holes 9 and 18 invite you to relax after the round. The food and the service staff in the restaurant were great. I/we felt very, very comfortable and will definitely be back. Thanks for the nice day at the GC Gut Grambek.
