Characteristics

Steeped in history and tradition, the Golf-Club Grand-Ducal stands as the pioneer of golf in Luxembourg. Founded in 1934 near the capital in Senningerberg, this prestigious club offers a classic parkland experience characteristic of the era's design. The 18-hole course is woven through a magnificent estate featuring century-old trees that line narrow fairways, prioritizing straight, strategic shots over sheer power. The challenge here requires constant concentration and technical accuracy. Complementing the main course is a 6-hole practice layout and a driving range with covered tees. The clubhouse, exuding a refined and reserved atmosphere, serves as a perfect retreat, offering a restaurant and bar that maintain the club's distinguished heritage.

A Venue of Class

A golf club of understated sophistication. A true venerable golf club from the 1930s, replete with beautiful tree lined holes, a warm rustic classic clubhouse and quality restaurant. To understand and appreciate The Golf Club Grand Ducal de Luxembourg, one must have experienced at some point the truly finer things in life. It is a very special place, and much more than just a golf course, which is very enjoyable to play.

Worst experience this season

Played GC Ducal in mid Nov 22, I know not best timing at season end. No complaint about the course condition (through its maintenance works) although course looks like its regular maintenance discontinued a long time ago (comparing to other courses in surrounding) making the course hardly playable but major issue with services and cost. Full fee paid (over eur 100), poor services, no score card / course map provided, unfriendly staff.
Customer friendly clubs usually offer discounted fee if course not in expected condition. Not the habit in GC Ducal. I know course condition could possibly improve, people behavior not.
No more money spent in Ducal, value for money = 0

Nice course

The well maintained course is flat, parc-alike with some bunkers, but has no water hazards. Nearby airport does not disturb your game. Kind service and stilish venue is a plus for the club. Especially the southbound veranda of the clubhouse will keep you stay at hole # 19, along with the various amenities of the very good restaurant. A quiet and relaxing atmosphere as well as charming club members joining your game might make your day. Try and win.
