Stunning place

I had play in the autumn 2016 season and all the course was in great condition. Green speed and surface was very perfect, the ball rolling very linear without deviation, even the fairways was in very good condition. The restaurant was perfect as an italian restaurant have to be.

Great layout, sort of patchy conditions. We got an electric cart and it was very old and showed it on every bump. Cart paths are terrible, Trent Jones railroad ties that are terribly deteriorated and others are just rutted dirt tracks. Recommend more for walkers Overall and excellent layout, not good enough conditions to warrant the rating. Still recommended if you are in the area.

We've probably stuck the teas in the ground over a dozen times - first in 1995 - and played on over a dozen Robert Trent Jones Sr. Courses.
Everyone in the team has some problems with his courses in terms of play, but they value his work very much, he is a master of his subject. We count him among the Big Five of course designers and have rarely achieved really good scores in the clubhouse on his courses.
Almost without exception all of his courses are difficult to play if you want par. It also corresponds to his philosophy of a difficult par and an easy bogie.
He has built more than 500 courses worldwide - in 35 counties and 45 in the United States. Almost a third of his courses can be found in top lists - madness... In 2000, the native of England is in Fort Lauderdale - Florida - 93 died year old.
This Campo is a typical representative of the designer, great placed in the slightly hilly terrain, with many very good holes. We are mostly here in spring or autumn on a golf trip in Italy or France, we often used the hotel for a stopover. The game conditions that we encountered here have never completely convinced us. Maintenance was often behind schedule, as it is today. It may be that the weather conditions are partly responsible, but the work that has not been done is even more so.
The hotel with its rooms is okay - simple, no luxury but good, gastronomy good.
The place steeped in history - in terms of golf - only three golf courses existed in Italy, one does justice to this facility without a doubt.
