The well-maintained course is embedded in the very hilly landscape and is not easy to play the first time. It is advisable to rent a buggy, as the course requires a certain level of fitness from the player with the trolley. If you play the course several times, even the holes that are difficult to see become manageable. Since buggy players and trolley players can take turns teeing off, there can sometimes be traffic jams.
Unfortunately, we discovered that a tee time of 10 a.m. had a negative impact on the meal we had hoped for in the golf restaurant, as they no longer serve food after 2 p.m. We were not even offered a toast and had to leave feeling a little frustrated. However, this is not an isolated case in France, as almost all restaurants, whether on the golf course or in cities, close after 2 p.m. This should be taken into account when planning any activity.

Very hilly - but nice to play

On 01.08.18 I played an 18-hole round there.
Nestled in a very hilly landscape on the edge of the Massif Central is the 18-hole course with a 6-hole training course.
The course is very demanding and exhausting, although it only has a slope of 127 - also in terms of condition. Here it is always steeply up or down again.
There is little water, but very sloping fairways - a novelty for me. You have to play these like water or biotopes, sometimes with more than 100m carry (or just looking for the ball in the slope).
The second 9-holes then accompanied me a local expert and pointed out the problematic points.
Unfortunately, due to time constraints, I was only able to go around once, and on the second lap I would have fallen for the problematic areas more.
Reductions and greens were great, the Faiways Due to the heat rather brown. The bunkers were OK.
So, make a note: plan your time and play the course twice.
The resto in the clubhouse was also very accommodating to present me a nice salad outside the normal mealtime after the round.
