The course is set up in an undulating landscape typical of eastern Schleswig-Holstein directly at and above the Flensburg Fjord and provides a far view across the sea to Denmark. Partly populated by old trees, the slightly sloped fairways feature charming hazards such as hedgerows, biotopes, ponds, and a stream crossing through. Glücksburg is one of the best golf courses in northern Germany. Each fairway has a distinct character, so each offers a new challenge. Four fairways are bordered by the Baltic Sea overlooking a bay and in the distance the Danish coast.

If greenkeeping is an art, at Glücksburg you see the work of a master. Greens are perfect and fairways well trimmed.

In summary it was a joy to play the course!
