Not that great

We played in June 2021: after all the advance praise that this was one of the most beautiful places in France and after the many women's tournaments there, we expected a lot. We came back from a week of golf in Brittany. And we just have to say: quite a disappointment compared to the unbelievably attractive and breathtaking scenery in Dinard, St. Malo and along the whole coast.
Problems:
First: everything in an inclined position, rough to be played very thickly and brutally.
Second: Very steep up and down, exhausting on a hot afternoon, more likely to play with an electric car than on foot.
Third: Proximity to car roads, these have to be crossed several times, at one tee a car drove directly across the gate, anything but attractive.
Fourth: slow flights, positives: very friendly secretariat and helpful Marshall.
Aesthetically well-kept place and great view of Lake Geneva.
All in all: there are much nicer and more exciting places in France. Not worth five stars for us.

Just great!

The place has it all! Demanding, super maintained, technical. The course optimizations realized for the Evian Masters over the years have made the course much heavier, but also visually and playfully appealing. The first two holes show the character of the course. First a classic parkland Par 4, trees left and right. a few bunkers, no frills. Then the Signature Hole, a par 3 with a big difference in altitude and a view of Lake Geneva. The next highlight is hole 5, where a lot of water guards the green. The same is true of the later par 3 holes, they often have either-or-character. Either the ball lands precisely on the green, or it rolls off to the side (into a bunker, into the water or into the semi-rough). To bring the ball to a halt, therefore, a high ball flight is necessary. But even on the par 4- and 5-holes every stroke has to sit. This is particularly true for the final hole, where it takes two solid hits to attack the well-protected green. The sophisticated design may be fun for the more gamers, but the less savvy can be comforted to play in a place where the ladies play one of the major tournaments every year. A great experience!

Major place for a major tournament

A great place, layout( every hole has its charm, care, general impression 1A. Green fee at the WK for EUR 95 can not say anything.
The place is however very hilly, thus Cart, E-Trolley or a light bag with it. Something a shame is that the place passes more often along roads but the view on Lake Geneva relativizes this again. Signal de bougy on the other side of the lake offers an even more beautiful view but the place there is obviously not to compare with Evian, but absolutely recommendable.
Staff at the reception nice, restaurant staff as almost always in France neither fast nor really interested and the large map is only from 17, even if you hungry at 16.30 on the terrace sits. Sanitary facilities / showers well, we say functional not more( 1st floor, ground was renovated). But I always evaluate the place around 5 stars
