In Evian, a very challenging golf course awaits in a spectacular location.
The greens are very fast and sometimes so undulating that some pin positions (hole 16) are impossible to reach no matter how!
A truly top-notch spot that's worth the trip!

We played the course at the beginning of May 2024 and can agree with the previous writer. The course is very hilly, there are many slopes and blind shots. We had much higher expectations of the course and were a little disappointed. The course maintenance, however, was good and the greens were true and fast. The course is not directly next to the 5-star hotel "Evian Royal" - so the name "Evian Resort Golf Club" is not really appropriate.

We played in June 2021: after all the advance praise that this was one of the most beautiful places in France and after the many women's tournaments there, we expected a lot. We came back from a week of golf in Brittany. And we just have to say: quite a disappointment compared to the unbelievably attractive and breathtaking scenery in Dinard, St. Malo and along the whole coast.
Problems:
First: everything in an inclined position, rough to be played very thickly and brutally.
Second: Very steep up and down, exhausting on a hot afternoon, more likely to play with an electric car than on foot.
Third: Proximity to car roads, these have to be crossed several times, at one tee a car drove directly across the gate, anything but attractive.
Fourth: slow flights, positives: very friendly secretariat and helpful Marshall.
Aesthetically well-kept place and great view of Lake Geneva.
All in all: there are much nicer and more exciting places in France. Not worth five stars for us.
