For a truly tropical golfing experience Dansavanh Golf & Country Club delivers a natural golfing experience. Surrounded by a huge 14,800 hectare land concession area the Resort gives a beautiful natural scenic landscape for the nature lover in every golfer. The resort covers part of the Phou Khao Khouay Mountain and Nam Ngum Lake in Vientiane province, about 50 kilometers from Vientiane thus making for a nice settling holiday away from the the city.

Dansavanh Golf resort.

I've played at 10 of Laos golf courses. Dansavanh is one of my favorites. I've played there more than 100 times. A very challenging and varied course. The staff and caddies are very talented and knowledgeable. The downside is that it is located 1.5 hours itinerary from the capital Vientiane.

This course has a dramatic layout and when it was new it would have been wonderful. The course wanders through the jungle and has many dog leg holes and plenty of water as well. If you miss the fairway its generally bye bye to the ball as the jungle gobbles up anything that is of line. Sadly it has not been maintained to an international standard and the clubhouse is really basic. What it does have that most of the other Laos courses don't, is character.
