Very slow play, especially as they mix up 2 balls and 4 balls - this never worked before and will never work. At each tee, waiting times for at least 5 minutes. Although they already had tee times every 12 minutes, which is very generous, the flight in front of us took almost 25 minutes to play the first hole and your GPS is telling you, they are still in time.
Overall the course is currently in bad condition, a lot of dry areas, also on the greens and it is only May. The surrounding is still stunning and also the view.
Used to be once our number 1 on Mallorca. So bad that this has changed. Currently no longer worse the money, although they currently offer special rates.

We played the Alcanada course on June 7. The aeration of the greens that was made a couple of days before we played the course didn´t affect the greenfee but, to some extent, our experience.
Without spoiling it though. The course was, in all other aspects, in very good condition and the services worked smoothly.
It was a nice, relaxing and effortless walk with some magnificent views. After having read quite a few, very positive reviews, we expected the design to be more challenging.
After the greens recovered from the maintenace it´s probably worth four stars.

Great course to play. Extremely nice scenery - especially the view from the hole 13 tee box is quite amazing. The greens were for me a bit too fast to manage this early of the season.
Service was also great everywhere at the club.

I would note 10 for pro Shop, 10 for CADDIE and golf club set rental, + 10 for restaurant (ask for don VICENZO, he is the man !) , and 2-3 for greenkeeping! The greens were complete bullshit in first decade of march! I would rate around 8-9 for golf designing. And no way, no way at all it was not worth first place in EUROPE for golf clubs! Not at all... at least : THRACCIAN CLIFFS, APRHODITE HILLS and SANTO da Serra are very high class in this category. Alcanda is very expensive but not worths those money at all! If you want to play real nice and spectacular golf in SPANISH islands, just give a try in ANFI TAURO in GRAN CANARIA. if you return on ALCANADA, ok...it's your choice. I WILL NOT COME BACK!

Played in mid-12/23 in the sunshine at 16 degrees with the Mallorca Golf Card. Friendly reception in the golf office, then we started. Challenging course with fantastic views of the sea and surrounding areas. Overall everything was very well maintained. Hilly, strenuous with a pull trolley, but easy to manage. Greens extremely fast; Unfortunately I easily lost 10 strokes due to 3 putts...🥲...
After 18 holes, hungry, we went to the restaurant with a great view of the sea. Good cuisine at reasonable prices.
Conclusion: Green fee unfortunately too high, restaurant recommended.
We'll be back because we had a wonderful day of golf!

Fairways like a flokati, T-boxes absolutely top and the greens incredibly fast for this time of year!
Anyone who wants to play here knows what to expect in terms of price... so please don't complain!
A 4-person flight on foot lasting 4 hours 35 minutes is generally acceptable... although apparently no one was playing in front of or behind us... and there were four of us who were sent out on the round.
I can't say anything about the gastronomy because we had to go back to Palma after the round.

YES!!! Price and performance here are at a good to very good level.
I have played around 130 golf courses around the world so far, but the Club de Golf Alcanada is certainly in the top 10. I was allowed to do so today (2 weeks after the Rolex Challenge Tour Finals took place here) in 22 degrees in November!! ;-) and sunshine playing a very well maintained course. Yes, some greens have small black spots and yes, not every bunker edge is cut with scissors - but overall, this great and challenging course certainly deserves 5* and the mega views and the fast greens are really fun! The whole thing for 89 € at SundownFee - TOP.
Unfortunately the kitchen was already closed at 6 p.m., so I can't give a review here. The ProShop is very well stocked and the changing rooms/showers are small but very nice.

The course is very nicely located, the setup is slightly hilly and yet has little to no inclines, perfectly integrated into the area by the sea, with 2-3 panoramic tees/fairways.
The already long playing time of almost 4.5 hours became 4 hours 55 minutes for us. The marshal tried hard but couldn't manage to speed up the game. I also find the price of 188EUR almost cheeky for the condition of the greens. The Challenge Tour plays its finale here in November and many of the greens were littered with black, non-green spots that now need to be quickly corrected in the last few weeks before the Rolex Challenge.
It's a shame, this could have been announced with a price reduction.
For this money you can play some top courses in Spain. Otherwise it would be a 4*** facility for me. Probably the most beautiful place on Mallorca, but (in my opinion) it doesn't come close to 5*** places in Andalusia like Reserva, Finca Cortesin or Portugal Monterei or similar.

I played the course on 04/06/2023 and was actually impressed.
Certainly the green fee is sporty.
But considering the fact that almost all places on Mallorca are not exactly cheap, there is also a lot on offer here. Top service - top performance.
The start times are in great demand and you usually get international players booked in.
The training facilities are phenomenal. Fast practice green, good chipping and pitching areas.
So you shouldn't come to the last minute, so that you can take all this with you and enjoy it.
The greens on the course had a value of 11.5 on the Stimpmeter when I visited, which can definitely be described as challenging. Here you can test how it feels for the players on the tour.
Most of the tracks have a view of the sea. While the first lanes go inland, from lane four it goes back towards the sea.
In my opinion, Signature Hole is after hole 13 with a fantastic view of the lighthouse on the small offshore island when you stand at the top of the tee.
After the round you should treat yourself to a visit to the restaurant. Food and service are really great.
After completing the round, you will receive an Alcanada badge with your name and the date on it as a small souvenir in the pro shop. Very nice gimmick. Thanks for that.

It is positive that there is drinking water at the DR, and this is just above tea 1. With the balls of the DR I would have expected ProV1 rather than the "normal" balls at the price...
We were then allowed to start a good 10 minutes earlier because the space was empty in February. From yellow I found the place quite long, the day offered me a total of few GIR, but was also due to the wind, which blew coolly from different directions that day. The condition is very good, but the greens had recently undergone aerification and were rolled so flat that one putted like on parquet. Since the breaks were also difficult to read, we produced a number of 3 putts, I simply had no feeling for these surfaces the whole round. The courses are quite varied, the first hole (Par5) demands a strategic second shot in order to prepare the third in the green over a ditch. If the 1 still leads away from the sea, you can almost always see it from the 6th lane, lane 7, a crisp long Par5, leads directly to it (like the 9,11 and 13). Magnificent views, sometimes quite elevated stops (especially 7 & 11.13) and a really nice layout make the place something special. On the yellow tee of lane 7 there is also a camera ( "record your shot", unfortunately I didn't find out how and where you can see the tee then ...) The bunkers have wonderful white, soft sand, which are fairways well-groomed, apples are available for free picking on the halfway. Unfortunately our score was not appealing, which was more due to our own game than to the layout (and partly due to the wind on the long courses and the greens, see above). After the round you will receive a badge engraved with your own name and the year as a souvenir. So far I only knew from Monte Rei in Portugal.
The drink after the round was canceled due to the shady spots on the restaurant terrace (the few sun spots were understandably already occupied), so there was only the quick departure - and a drink later in Artà.
However, I don't know whether I would play the course again, just the drive from the Capdepera region, where you have 4 golf courses in the immediate vicinity, scares me (and the unsightly drive through Can Pincafort). And the high green fee is too expensive for that...
