Characteristics
The 18-hole-course of the Club de Golf Alcanada, situated directly at the sea, offers and almost ideal terrain, grown with olives, stone pines and oaks. Futhermore the view on the beautiful island Alcanada with its lighthouse and the mountains behind it. The golf architect Robert Trent Jones Jr. are responsable for the building of this course. A course, which you should have played.

Etiquette
Proper golf attire is required. Denim jeans and collarless t-shirts are not acceptable. Softspikes required.

The Alcanada Golf Academy offers personalised lessons for all ages and skill levels, from beginners to experienced players. Tuition is available in Spanish, Catalan, English, and German. Junior Academy for ages 5+ runs for 1.5 hours every weekend, priced at €75 per month.

A stunning, impeccably maintained course

I played Alcanada in the summer of 2024, taking advantage of the unlimited green fee offer, and I enjoyed it immensely. The layout is varied, the maintenance of the entire course is impeccable, and the views are unforgettable. The standard green fee is not inexpensive, but with the monthly offer—although it somewhat “encourages” you to play the same course frequently—the overall cost becomes absolutely reasonable.

Very slow play, especially as they mix up 2 balls and 4 balls - this never worked before and will never work. At each tee, waiting times for at least 5 minutes. Although they already had tee times every 12 minutes, which is very generous, the flight in front of us took almost 25 minutes to play the first hole and your GPS is telling you, they are still in time.
Overall the course is currently in bad condition, a lot of dry areas, also on the greens and it is only May. The surrounding is still stunning and also the view.
Used to be once our number 1 on Mallorca. So bad that this has changed. Currently no longer worse the money, although they currently offer special rates.
