Characteristics

Situated within the ancient woodlands of Epping Forest, Chingford Golf Course offers a historic experience dating back to 1888. Originally established as the Royal Epping Forest Golf Club, the layout was later refined by the legendary James Braid. The 18-hole public course features two returning loops winding through mature trees, providing a scenic challenge. Despite its tranquil forest setting, the club remains easily accessible from Central London. The onsite Holly Trail Café offers a welcoming spot for post-round relaxation.

Good pay and pay course

This is a good pay and play course in part of Epping Forest. The course is on public land so you must wear a red top. It can get busy at weekends. It is long even off the yellow tees and there are some tricky holes. Overall, enjoyable to play.
