Founded in 1896, Came Down Golf Club offers a historic experience in the heart of Dorset. Situated between Dorchester and Weymouth, the traditional downland course was shaped by legendary architects J.H. Taylor and Harry Colt. Its chalk subsoil ensures excellent natural drainage, allowing for year-round play on firm fairways. The elevated location provides spectacular 360-degree panoramic views stretching to the coast. Despite the English weather, we had a lot of fun and a very nice round!
A great, varied golf course that is worth a visit! Well maintained, a lovely clubhouse and fair green fees - all ingredients for a great day of golf.
