Characteristics
A classic English parkland course, in the grounds of the famous 16th century stately home Burghley House, built by William Cecil, who was Lord High Treasurer to Queen Elizabeth the First. The course is well presented and well managed, with high quality greens which are always fast and true in the summer, and visitors are most welcome. The clubhouse is modern and comfortable, with a well stocked bar and restaurant facilities. The course plays like a links in dry summers, with hard and fast running fairways.
