Below expectation

While visiting Poland we decided to play round here. I was looking forward, since the pictures were looking very nicely. Arriving is quite challenging, road to course are suited for big SUV or tank, but that is not course fault, just fact. We had good experience with staff once again the hospitality was very good. You have everything in one spot there, parking lot is next to clubhouse and driving range.
Now to the game, opening hole is easy par 5. I liked par 3s on this course they are very nice. Signature hole probably hole number 4, but would keep the upper teebox. I was full of excitement from Modry Las so I expect bit lower quality, however it was was more than expectation. I understand that its beginning of the season, but it could be better shape. Also orientation on this course could be very much improved, the signs for the cart path should be marked better. Definitely the course has potential, its nicely located, interesting shots, quite steep, but I would expect some improvement. At the moment I would rather spent my money somewhere else for some years.
Not mentioning that on last hole we where almost hit by golfer who did not even care to FORE AT US.

Mountain and valley in Poland

Played on 6/25/2023. The 18-hole course (PAR 72) with an additional 9-hole short course (PAR 28) is located about 20km behind the German border, just south of Szczecin. The approach, best with a GPS, leads a few kilometers over a narrow road through a forest area. The entire complex is situated in absolute peace and nature. There are some parking spaces available in front of the modern clubhouse with restaurant (not used), otherwise you can also park on the gravel parking lot on the other side of the street, where the short course and the holiday apartments are. A driving range and a practice area are available. The 18-hole course has its challenges and it never gets boring. It often goes up (the first train is waiting with an increase) and down. Those who are not quite as athletic should think about a cart. Due to the height differences, there are elevated tees with a beautiful view of the area and the course, but also blind shots and inclined positions. There are also a few narrower tees and then many water hazards, especially on the back nine. You should stay away from the sometimes dense rough and tree aisles, otherwise there is a risk of losing the ball. Higher HC should have a few extra balls in the bag. From my point of view, the back nine have a slightly higher standard, so that the low specification, at least for men from yellow, does not quite fit. The condition was fine, especially the greens were very good and true. A few thistles grew in a few bunkers and one or the other tee was a little worn. The young lady in the clubhouse speaks excellent German and was very nice. The green fee at the weekend was currently acceptable at the equivalent of €63.50. It's a bit cheaper on weekdays, there are no sundowner or early bird rates. You can see the start times on the homepage (also displayed in German) and book and pay after registration. However, very few members book tee times and it looks like the place is empty, but on site you realize that there are some players on the place. People also like to start from the 10, which is quite unpleasant when you come from the 9. However, as a single player, I was always let through quickly. Most of the members greeted us in a friendly manner and mostly also spoke German. I can generally recommend the round in the Binowo Golfpark.

Challenging hilly

Played in August 2020, handicap 12

Not a very big, but a very nice, quite demanding parkland-style course. Very hilly "heather landscape" - somewhat wooded on the edge. Not a really nice view, which is also clouded by the many power poles / lines. All in all, wonderfully quiet!

Real highlights are in vain - the course lives from the length (at least from white it is over 6,000m), a few doglegs, the hillyness (there is hardly ever a level location) and the rather small, slightly undulating greens. There are a few water hazards that sometimes have to be crossed head-on - but this is usually possible without any problems, and you may have to tactically present again here and there. The rough is only very high off the fairway, so it is hardly ever in play.

Unfortunately, the greens are a little bumpy, generally quite slow and, above all, unfortunately not of the same speed. The cup stitch is very bad and the holes have the well-known "volcano effect" - slower balls suddenly run away to the right or left a few centimeters in front of the hole - the holes would have to be moved or better.

Except for the mentioned problems with the greens and the bunkers, the condition is very tidy. Certainly due to the current weather situation (> 35 ° for days) very dry overall, but fairways and semi-rough are still easy to play. The bunkers are, however, disastrous! Hard “concrete” instead of “fluffy” sand, it is better to leave the sand wedge in place and chip like from the fairway without any contact with the ground.

A cart is definitely recommended to everyone who does not like it extremely sporty! The place is LONG and HILLY. In addition, the paths to the next tee are signposted so badly that the overview map of the course (luckily printed on the scorecard) has to be consulted and you can still get lost.

Conclusion: an average place, which you can also take with you because of the very friendly service when you are in the area anyway. It is not worth traveling for it. Solid 3 stars. (In the "Golf Bear Ranking": 5 out of 10 points.)
