Characteristics
The golf course, desinged in cooperation with the American William W. Amick and the Italian Giorgio Ferraris, is very varied and snakes through palm trees, century-old olive groves and five lakes of the south Italian coast. Furthermore the fairways are very neat and seem to challenge the players to use all their clubs.

Since San Domenico was closed due to the G7 summit, we played Barialto.
Positive: 65€ green fee, also on weekends
Annoying: poor signage, costs nothing and helps enormously, especially when you have to cross fairways. Even tee 1 is difficult to find, so ask at the office.
Course maintenance okay, you can play if you are nearby, not worth a detour

I played on January 2,2024, (weekday), finding lights and shadows.
Lights: varied and entertaining route which, although posing difficulties, always allows you to play. Very beautiful and welcoming club house, restaurant open regularly despite the weekday.
Shadows: driving range with putting green and chipping green to be redone, unsuitable changing rooms. The bottom of the Farwey is decidedly hard and sparsely grassed.
