Characteristics
Alnwick Golf Club offers a challenging golf course on mature parkland. There are many natural hazards that can play havoc with any stray shots, including open grassland and gorse - home for many lost golf balls. Whilst playing be ever watchful for the wildlife, as the course is home to a variety of animals, including Deer, Pheasant, and Northumberland's specialist, the Red Squirrel.

As a relative beginner I first determined how easily a Tee Time reservation was. Unfortunately, I can only judge path 1-6 because time was short. Some doglegs and, as expected, due to the geography, sloping layers and some mountain and Talspiel. For me as a beginner but still play well and quickly because of wider fairways and little undergrowth in the rough. From Lane 5 nice view over the countryside to the sea. Sorry, no driving range. Lively clubhouse with nice tipsters.
