Horrible waiting time

I have played the Abama course 4 times and each time more than 5 hours because they let so many beginners with hotel vouchers/ guest rates play.
And with these high greens fees waiting on each tee box forever. Never again…….

5 star place in the Canary Islands!

Although I largely agree with the rating from April 11th, 2024, I would still like to give it 5 stars because this is a course with many unique selling points and an outstanding layout. We played the course 3 times from April 23rd to 25th, 2024.
Rapid changes in altitude, carefully designed obstacles, biotopes, ponds and flower islands as well as fantastic views of the Atlantic and La Gomera make this difficult course (the most difficult we have played so far) a very special golfing experience. The HCP limits of 28 and 36 are absolutely justified, otherwise you would have to plan more than 4.5 hours for the 18 holes, as the slowest flight of 4 in the field sets the pace. This is a small downside, as this outstanding golf course is very busy. You have to get used to the lightning-fast greens and the ball can also roll quite far out of control. It's a shame about the minimalist restaurant in the clubhouse and the manageable chipping/putting greens and the practice options for bunker shots. Nevertheless, we definitely want to come back!

Beautiful golf course with weaknesses

We played Abama for the first time yesterday in pleasant April temperatures. It is a beautiful golf course that was designed with great attention to detail and adapted to the existing topology.
Many nice, sometimes playful details such as small waterfalls or zen-like gardens liven up the courses.
The course is very demanding and the layout means you have to make a lot of "blind" shots. If you don't know the course, you're often at a loss. The electronic birdie book in the buggy helps you know where you are at all times. Great!
As a flight of two, we needed about 4:15. Unfortunately, we had to wait 3-5 minutes for almost every tee shot. On par-5 holes, you could clearly see that there were sometimes 4 flights on one hole because a few "dawdlers" weren't familiar with the hole or the use of a buggy. A marshal with a subtle hint would have been worth his weight in gold. There wasn't a marshal around all day.
The greens are as smooth as glass and barely playable. The flag positions are sometimes "outrageous" and unworthy of a greenkeeper. Often only one rake for 3-4 bunkers, and the green bunkers looked accordingly. Divots or pitch markers are not repaired by the players. This shows the big difference between a holiday golf resort and a golf club that relies on permanent members who maintain the course.
These small details (greens, bunkers, divots), the waiting and the dry and hard course meant that at some point we just wanted to finish the round.
The clubhouse, restaurant and changing rooms are all top-notch. The staff are friendly and helpful.
4 stars are subjective but I can only give the course 4 stars because of the greens, bunkers and confusing shots.

Good, with potential for improvement in the details

We played the course four times in January 2024. The staff is polite and the reservation, including the provision of the cars, goes smoothly. There are a lot of bad balls on the DR and unfortunately there is no short game area. The course is demanding in this respect and the greens are large and undulating. On many greens you are happy if you can leave the green in 3 putts. The playing times (around 5 hours) are too long. Unfortunately, beginners are also allowed onto the pitch. What's annoying is that - like in many places - the discounts are not set correctly. When we played, on the L1-9 of 9 yellow tees, 7 tees were set to “blue” or even before “blue”. It's not OK. If you pay over Euro 200.00, the place must be properly “plugged in”. The beautiful views and the overall condition make the game an experience.

Abama is strong!

The location is unique, the design is the best on the island! Golf cart is mandatory!
Only the greens were far too dull and too slow for such a course!
Everything else was great!
With del Sur's greens, Abama would be in the top 20 in Spain!
It's a shame, for me Abama is a touch behind Adeje. If you don't live in the hotel the fee is very high. With Top Grün's eyes closed, this is the only way to leave a slightly overpriced impression!
Nevertheless, you have to play Abama when you are in Tenerife, of course!

An absolute must

I regularly go to Tenerife with my wife to relax on this amazing island. With every stay we play at least 2x the ABAMA golf course, which is one of our absolute favourites. We have not yet played a more spectacular course (perhaps comparable to Monte Rei/Algarve in terms of fun). From hole 6 you can't help but be amazed at the inventiveness with which the holes were created here. One spectacular view follows the next. Certainly not a place for beginners. Everyone else should have played the course but times.

The (admittedly) very high green fee has the side effect that we have never seen the place overcrowded. The restaurant + pro shop are excellent and the staff there are incredibly welcoming. No trace of arrogance. The course itself is well maintained, as you would expect for this price.

This course is an experience and differs significantly from golf courses that are more flat and monotonous.

Abama golf course

"Normal "green fee price €270, yes €270.. luckily we had an agency package: course under maintenance, too many bald areas, cored greens, hole hcp 1 transformed into par 3 for"work" and icing on the cake 1 espresso at the bar 5 €. Do they think they are in Augusta at the Masters? Much better as value for money the field of Buenavista (landscape masterpiece) at less than half or the Sur or Amarilla or Las Americas

Wow! Golf in paradise!

February 4th, 2023 After our round on this golf course we can only rave about it. All services, gastronomy, exercise possibilities: everything impeccable and extremely customer-friendly. And then this golf course. It goes far up the mountain, then down into the valley and back up again. Fantastic views and impressive impressions far out over the Atlantic from probably every position. Immaculate tees, fairways, bunkers and challenging greens. In addition, a birdie book that rightly bears the name Course Guide. So all the ingredients for a memorable day of golf came together perfectly for us. And although the place was fully booked with 4-flights (weekend), we were able to play the round quickly without really annoying waiting times. So our conclusion is all-round positive and the high green fee is worth it for so much perfection.
As a little fun, there were quite a few cheeky angry birds and a funny party company that got lost on the way to the cocktail party on the golf course.
And on top of that, there is an excellent restaurant at the clubhouse with a beautiful terrace for sundowners.

Spectacular views

I played this course in late September 2022 as part of a package I pre-booked. The price was therefore manageable at around €120. The price included the cart with GPS and drinking water for the round.
Each lane offers spectacular views of the Atlantic, La Gomera and the Ritz Carlton Hotel. This is also the operator of the facility. On all lanes you will find some enormous differences in height from the tee to the green, which makes the course athletically challenging. Varied, well-kept planting gives the place that certain something.
The fairways were perfect, the greens unfortunately not always. At the time of my round, the course was being prepared intensively for the winter season, which sometimes delayed the game a bit.
From the front desk to the caddy master, the staff was consistently competent, friendly and courteous.
However, the cart with acoustic warnings every few meters was really annoying. For example, you were repeatedly asked not to drive too fast on the downhill stretches, although the speed of the cart was limited on these parts anyway. Nevertheless, it was a very successful day of golf.

Top golf course in very good condition

We played 5 rounds on ABAMA Golf in the first week of September. Place was in very good condition, great topography, sea view from almost every lane and extremely beautiful and varied planting. Very nice employees - from the receptionists to the caddy master. Due to the "golf pre-season" only a few golfers were out and we were able to enjoy the beautiful course in peace and quiet.

No. 2 in Tenerife!!

After 2017 back in Tenerife and also at the Abama golf course, but the high expectations were a bit disappointed. The design is still great, of course there are some blind strokes and yes, knowledge of the course is required, but there have been deteriorations in terms of course maintenance.
The green of the one is so bad and not worthy of this claim - neglected, cracked, bald spots and different types of grass, unattractive to look at and to putt. The greens in general could be much better and faster, so for me Adeje is clearly the number 1 in terms of course maintenance and overall!

Many bunkers without rakes and therefore not repaired, steps and deep furrows in the bunker spoil the game.
Space otherwise still nice in terms of design, see also review 2017!

... top 50 Spain...

--- on Tenerife No 1

This course amazed us 15 years ago, the location, the layout, the many plants and the hotel - built in the Moorish style.

It is a very demanding course - physically - a wheelchair is mandatory. Playing golf here on foot would be like doing fitness training.

We know more than a dozen courses that were created or renovated under the direction of Dave Thomas in Spain, France, Germany and Scotland. This one here is also one of his best - in our opinion - but very demanding. The Englishman was a mining engineer by profession and a professional player in the 1950s, participated in the Ryder Cup several times, won over a dozen tournaments and was involved in over 150 golf courses - including several (40) top courses. In 2013 he died at the age of 79.

The view of the Atlantic and the island of Gomera is partly breathtaking and tries several times to weaken the concentration of the players. It has to be there, otherwise there will be a lot of work and lost balls.

It is a demanding course, also playful, the wind always wants to play along. The layout is convincing, keeps up with all modern courses, well designed. The most difficult thing was to lay it in the difficult terrain, which was very successful.

Course maintenance has a few weak points, but can be described as very good.

The view falls again and again on the plantations and construction sites, that diminishes the joy a little.

We stayed here.

Not all were for five stars, a slim majority. The few maintenance weak spots and the surroundings with their immissions led to deductions.

On our own behalf:

We have all been playing golf for over 30 years, the Leader for almost 40 years. Until recently we hardly had time to read the Internet comments, much less to write them.
We orientated ourselves primarily towards the trade press and the web page worldgolf. com used to travel. It was perfect, with all the important and relevant information on a printed A4 page. Unfortunately, it no longer exists in this form - it wasn't enough to boost sales.

The many one and two star ratings prompted us to revise our views. For a few years now we have been using the internet a lot - within the team we have been writing down our experiences since the beginning of our golf trips.

A one or two star rating would mean that a course would have really serious deficits in terms of course maintenance, as well as a very poor layout. In terms of communication, this would mean that it did not take place or that it would actually be very questionable.

We locate unqualified frustration ratings in several one or two star ratings.

An assessment of a course can be divided into the following parts:
1. Location (Coast, Inland, Mountain, Desert)
2. View (views, prospects, panorama, surroundings, immissions)
3. Layout (course, hole, tee, semi, rough, fairway, green, bunker)
4. Care, maintenance (course, hole, tee, rough, fairway, green, bunker)
5. Challenges (playful, physical)
6. Club infrastructure (clubhouse, restaurant, pro shop, locker)
7. Practice aerea (short game, long game, bunker, green)
8. Personnel (clubhouse, restaurant, pro shop, course)
9. Green fee price (we do not comment on this out of fundamental thoughts, we keep that to ourselves)

In the beginning we had grades from 1 to 6, today it's a maximum of five stars.
Admittedly, we have a few advantages, there are always four of us, often even six, and now and then eight. Then there are our Englishmen who are important people - the ex-playing pro and his brother ex-head greenkeeper - taught us a lot.

The often criticized flow of the game is not a matter for the clubs, but for the player - everyone should know and follow the rules!

We know the problems from our own experience, everyone made themselves available in their home clubs. The discussions about the applications were tough, some were even rejected because they were assessed as too consistent, too strict. Those who spent a summer on the course on weekdays, Sundays, public holidays and tournaments said goodbye with the remark: "Never again".
Some of the comments that had to be heard were not ready for printing - the green fee players reacted the worst.

The course occupancy was below average today, but we still had to draw the attention of those playing ahead to the play pace - the reaction was underground!
Unfortunately, it is a fact that it is mainly the weaker players that ensure stagnant play pace. Searching for lost balls is one thing - it has no consequences on a holiday round anyway - you play the hole to the end even after the double par has long been booked.
Those behind us were annoyed with us - they would have to wait. That they had to wait was true, but so did we, because our length from the tee requires this - we are still on average around 250 meters long.

Expensive green fee - performance does not fit

All in all a nice place with interesting holes, which allows a varied game. The condition of the fairways and greens was good. But if you pay the most expensive green fee on the whole island of Tenerife here, you expect more. The parking brake hardly worked on the buggy, which is not very helpful in the heavily hilly place. The putting green was in miserable condition. On the driving range you have to buy the balls yourself with this high green fee. Chipping, pitching and bunker play were not possible. The short play area on the opposite side of the driving range was completely empty, even when politely asked, use was fundamentally refused, only for lessons and groups - only nobody was there...
So: price-performance ratio is not right.

Best place in Tenerife

I admit it, yes the place is not easy. We played it 5 times at the beginning of December 2020.
The layout, the location, the greens and the maintenance on and especially next to the course deserve an undisputed 5 *! There is a deduction for the putting green (2 *) and the halfway house, as you only get a cheap sandwich after the round :(.
For good HC I can only recommend this course, but play it at least twice! I can't comment on the green fees as we had a Tagor villa in the hotel. This included the green fee. A fellow player told us that he had paid € 200 including the kart. The view is worth every euro!

Price-performance ratio???

We played this course in December 2020 and found the tracks interesting - that's why there are 4 stars. The fairways and greens were in no great condition; the discounts were all okay. The driving range is poor and the putting green at tee 1 is unreasonable. The water hazards were only partially filled or not at all. If there is not enough water by nature, you should consider something else as an obstacle. This green fee must be of better quality!

So the price / performance ratio is not right.

In terms of golf architecture and topography, abama is a brilliant golf course and would be worth 5 * without question. It's just a shame that the place is not feasible on foot - neither allowed nor within the scope of the possible.

The bunker sand is great, the fairways are rather poor at the moment, the undulating greens would be great, but the condition of the greens is very lamentable. the exercise putting green at hole 1 is simply a field.
What you see in the advertising photos of this place is far from what is reality at the moment.

With such green fees you either have to deliver quality or, if that is not possible, reduce the fees. but that's not acceptable.

A perfect golf day

I played a lot of places this year - the OldCourse in St Andrews, MaxxRoyal in Belek, etc. but never had so much fun as last week on the ABAMA course.
A fantastic golf course with sensational views, friendly staff and great weather. It was a perfect match.
The carts have GPS and on the extremely wide range you can hit as many balls as you want for free.
The golf bags are already taken off the Pakrplatz and the friendly welcome makes you want more. In the ProShop gabs one or the other souvenir and here very nice staff who stood by us with all questions patiently.
And the place? Very nice! No train is the same. It goes up and down, partly with spectacular views of the sea. The condition is excellent, the greens fast and tricky. Every track, every shot a challenge and always fair. We - Handicaps 11-19, did not quite play our handicap, so we would have to play the pitch again. But we rarely had so much fun on a lap and were almost disappointed when we were done after about 4.5 hours of playing time.
For a good end we could enjoy the sunset on the sunny terrace. We will be back definitely. and then maybe we live in the hotel next door. That looked very good and offers huge Greenfeerabatt for this mega square.

Not all gold that glitters

Great place design, is one of the best, which I have played on 4 continents, which is already looking for its own.

But for 250 euros, I expect that too.

And then I expect perfect greens (were pretty battered), a top driving range (the tee areas have not been relocated for a long time), tee-off boards for a better overview, at the 9 a traffic light or something different to be able to see if that Green can allude and many other details that could justify this price. Especially when you see the other fairies on the island. It feels a bit like the golfer should be asked to pay.

Conclusion: Can / must have played once, but for the price is then enough.

Unfortunately overrated

We played the through beautiful and well maintained course of Abama Golf on 9.11.2018! We were not put the bags on the buggy or made any explanations to the place and the announced bannans were not at the tees... although I do not think that all as important only with a green fee of 270 € p. P including buggy (not otherwise possible) should you expect it, the construction noise on the top 9 holes disturbed me. That sucks and could be included in the price and also in the current rating! The place itself is well maintained but not better than the Buenavista we played a day later for 106 euros per person

Great place, but totally overpriced

Played in Dec 2017... Green fee € 250... the service was to load the bags into the buggy, that's it. No halfway, no buggy bar, no starter, no welcome back. The staked on the driving range zone showed more sand than blades of grass. The (free) range balls a colorful smorgasbord of different brands.
But the place was in good condition, the greens not overly fast and some really great tracks and vistas.
The place is definitely great and fun to play, but for the money I'd rather play 2x of the other nice places on Tenerife.

Has nothing to do with golf

Are with ner group of 4 for spring Warmup driven to the Abama with 4x golf on the hotel-own course (Hotel TOP, though anything but favorable and prices for Spiesen sometimes cheeky, but good service and hotel-top Einrichtingen), but the eigentich beautiful golf course (super care state, partly beautiful holes, great views) is ruined by simply unplayable greens.

Not the super fast (. Stimpmeter currently 11.6 are sometimes even over 12 says the Pro - but know fast greens from the United States and from England) but in combination quickly and maximum unfair Pn position in waves or in the Weird to bunker down simply for normal golfers unplayable (stay two digits only 4 of 16 in our group of 4 with HCP 4-12). Even the starter and marshal / Headpro admit the mindests 2 holes of the greens ago not playable his but wanted to keep the management 'PGA Level' - mischief when executed put balls start (as a test) to roll!

Did not complain with do (my score is me rather trivial - and yes, be clever Meier say the Pros something have constantly and the 'real golf' is) - but it feht after the third or fourth hole then any fun at the Round and a sense of achievement - for me, this means only:

For golfing NEVERMORE ABAMA!

Caution on the greens

For Internet comments, I otherwise neither time nor the inclination. The review of 1:12:15, after which the Abama Course to make a upkeep, however, attracts me from the reserve. Who the - under a pseudonym - writes, has either no idea or bad intentions. After 5 rounds, I would like for those interested summarize my impressions as follows:
Location and landscape:
The fairways offer some great views of the resort, the sea and La Gomera, without disturbing residential complexes alongside the fairways. The height differences are serious, so the buggy duty makes sense. Away from the fairways there are elaborate plantings, mainly palm trees, in manicured grounds.
Layout of fairways:
No hole is like a others. Uphill and downhill curves alternate. Due grounds can "blind" shots are needed, which no negative characteristic constitutes (Anyone who claims otherwise, has not yet played no classic links course.). Water hazards are not as common, but can come into play effectively. Greenside bunker often have high edges, so that there can be almost unplayable layers therein. The greens are very undulating, hard to read and super fast (In question was told: 11 - 12 on the Stimpmeter!), Which can lead to surprising ball paths, sometimes even down from the green. They allow you to be a "normal golfers" who is accustomed slow greens in Germany, hardly used even after several rounds. Honestly: For a resort course not a good idea. (Which golf tourists has been dealing with the Grain from Bermuda grass Small tip: grass growth regularly in the valley / sea = super fast; the opposite direction:. Significantly slower) Condition:
Who wants to judge the standard of maintenance reputable, should bear in mind, on which latitude (often several weeks without rain) it is located and that cavort per day about 180 golfers on the plant. Judging from the care condition is impeccable. Pitch marks on the greens (not more than usual), traces undisciplined golfers disregard the friendly admonitions on the displays of the buggies. Even more golfers could use the entrained containers for filling divot wells. Regardless of the Greenkeeper pick by the omission. So: there are no bad areas mowed, raked bunkers or not such Unansehlichkeiten! However: different sand grades in the bunkers.
Service:
The numerous existing staff (Proshop, caddy master, starters, marshals) is extremely helpful and friendly. Continuous shuttle service from the resort to the clubhouse. Buggies are equipped with nameplates, GPS displays with distances, bottled water (replenishment on the round) and bananas. On the driving range ball pyramids unlimited.
Price-performance ratio:
A Grenfee for visitors of € 200 is certainly more dissuasive. The official green fee of 135 € incl. Buggy for resort guests is appropriate taking into account the price levels on the island and the service mE. About various golf travel provider but you can book packages, which makes it much cheaper. If you catch one reasonable period, it can even be a "bargain" in the quality of the resort.
Conclusion:
Sporty challenging course, always exciting, where players should note with higher handicaps the score in order to avoid frustration fewer but the great scenery.

It is an experience

Yes, the green fee is 200 € for non-hotel guests sporty and safe even at min. 50 € is too high, but worth it. The 18 holes presented to us on 28.2. in very good Condition. The sporting claim is entirely given and yes, there will be a few blind shots. The layout of the space around the hotel offers everything golfers need, incl. Some water hazards (enough balls to take). Nevertheless, higher HC should have fun here, but since most fairways are pretty open. The big challenge is the rapidly undulating greens. Unfortunately, three-putting are not uncommon. In very nice clubhouse at the front desk is friendly service. Included in the green fee is a buggy with GPS. The cart, which also does have its meaning because of the wide part way between the tees is available with nameplate and is equipped with a couple of bananas and water, which you can download free of charge during the round some discounts. The use of the range incl. Ball is also included in the price and even the 200 euro no longer so much. Advantage of the high green fees, it is not quite as crowded as the other places in the south of the island. One should reserve a tee time yet before. This is unfortunately not online only, through the Secretariat. We had a start time in the early afternoon. The three of us are now on the round and was not there already been a four flight ahead of us on hole three who wanted to leave us in no case ... .. I think ABAMA should have played at least 1x times when you are on Tenerife.

Wer's like!

Could the square on 20/01/2015 play. As in many reviews Previously seen this place should only play one of too much money or have him play for a place to know more. The latter is true for me.
With well over 600 courses played, I can allow myself a judgment.
Very strange I find the note that it was interesting when the visible area you can only imagine. I speak in this case of blind holes. Such as hole 9. Moreover, if you have to go in every 2nd fairway forward to detect a possible target. Neither one game flow useful are the ways of the green to the next tee. Most Geht's backwards, so that the subsequent flight to wait. The quality corresponds to a 50 .-- € place. Only the change of the fairways and the view to the more are considerable.

World class facilities / around it Well

This is one of the best places I've ever played. The place is very varied and sometimes offers very spectacular views.

At the restaurant I subscribe to the predecessors. For a great beer to require 8 euros is simply a joke that has no equal. The food is not the price they fulfill the request.

Otherwise the place is really good. What is also very disturbed was the Marshall, who was very rude. We started 30 minutes after flight in the morning and had to after 9 hole spacing on the 1 restricted hole (so that when we come to the tee box, people are just run of Green). Nevertheless, he has told us we have to play much faster, etc,. And in a very rude tone.

Dream place!!!

We played for a week this place in December and loved this golf course.

Stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean, La Gomera and last but not least of the amazing luxury resort.

The course was in excellent condition, the fairways were perfect and the greens were very tricky and lightning-fast.

May partially Comments / priorities of the previous speakers not quite understand! (Bananas brown?, buggy is not 90 minutes earlier)

The place is absolutely great and if you on Tenerife is an absolute must!

We will come back again for sure soon.

Thank you for a wonderful week!!!

Unfortunately, very poor service

We played again Abama mid-November. Unfortunately, the service from the staff is becoming weaker. Also on the fairways participated in the 7 tracks Greenkeeper no regard for the players! How can one really "mess up" the game. We no longer come!

Surprising and nice

We played in June 2014. Hotel guests pay 123 euros, 200 euros guest green fee, including Driving Range (balls included), e-cart (with GPS), 3 teas, plenty of drinking water, 3 bananas + 45 € for the good TaylorMade Leihset.
The course was in good condition, has great views and quite hilly fairway refined design. Often you can only imagine what comes after the visible range, which makes it all the more interesting. The rough and From consist of brown volcanic rock pebbles, which significantly helps in finding ball. Price certainly at the top end, especially when passenger tariff, but on vacation a beautiful game.

Beautiful place with great views

We played in mid-May this place as a hotel guest, unfortunately the greens had just been aerifiziert, so we paid 65 - € / player.
The place is beautiful and has some wonderful tracks, great views, the staff could be nicer except for a few exceptions.
We played with a set of rental clubs TaylorMade latest version, which were good, but the rent of 49, - € per set we found too high.
Otherwise, I can only recommend the place.

Place good, green fee too high

Have played the course two times in March. Staff is friendlier than last year, the state space unfortunately. The greens were unfortunately often rather badly! Unfortunately, it is the operators probably still too good for the green fee is too high! Schade

His money is not worth

We played the course in the past week. In addition to the already listed in other forums ambient noise (road noise), the court has shown overall in a fairly poorly maintained condition.
The fairways are laid out quite interesting part and you should already know where to place his or Drive the Green alludes. You can run this place definitely not.
But what is an absolute NO-GO, was the flight schedule. There were three of us and a fourth player was assigned. This in itself is no problem, but if the two flights each 2-Flights are ahead of us formed and we have to wait on every shot as four, and no Marshall cares about the game speed, game times come together for more than 5 hours. Since the club has failed in my opinion.
The appointed after the round and served (half raw) Burger for 15 EUR with 20 counted fries was simply a joke.

This place looks at me ever again!

Our expectations were not met

We played on the 28th January at the Abama Golf, as a non-hotel guests for EUR 200/Person!
Accordingly, our expectations were, which were not met. The first five holes were accompanied by construction noise, the time of new holiday apartments are built on the square. This was not told at check-in.
Some holes are created spectacular, others are very steep uphill. Conclusion: The overall impression is simply not worth 200 euros. g

Rip off from 26.12.13 - 05:01:14

For 3 years in a row we get for Christmas Abama. The place was acceptable but never in an optimal state, as he was not so full at this time, as the other places in Tenerife. Already in 2012 the greens and Vorgruens were to fault, the BUNKER full of small stones, but in 2013 these deficiencies existed still, unfortunately, a little worse (for example, the initially established palm trees - which were never planted - now burst from the pots and rot), but have recently been the hotel guests with 150, - € ripped off over Christmas and non-hotel guests get special prices recently, so that the Exclusivity for hotel guests no longer exists. As of 28/12/13 it was so full that longer than 5 hours was played and we at 31.12. had ceased even after 9 holes because we had to wait on the tee 1/2 hour.
A beautiful view on a permanent guests can not bind to the hotel and the place and for 150, - € can I expect a place that is very well maintained and that justice is on the court order and flow of the game is gewaehrleistet.

Breathtaking!

I played the course over 3 weeks ago - Conclusion: A place that can beat the "golfer"! Continuously challenging fairways, plus the fantastic sea views from every single hole and the sensational skin care condition make this place a paradise for almost every golfer!

Tip: Do not take too much before and do not think about the score. ;-)
I recommend to play precise and tactically - then something is possible in this place..

& If this does not work: Enjoy nature and the breathtaking views!

Top!

Who does not live in the Abama have to spend much money to spielenzu can this place. on glipflichsten guests at the Jardin Tropical, Adeje be fleeced because this hotel belongs to the same group AND the very warmly invited golf desk lady gives the green fee for € 135, which is only 20 € more is given the your included buggies as the "normal" squares of island.
Abama golf is from layout to safe the only really challenging course on the island, also aufgeschoent with outstanding optics over to the falls (I've seen 3), flowers, palm trees, etc belong. Very good fairways and heavy, fast greens make this course a real hit. Ok, had some greens in Nov. a few small bald spots but we are in the deep south! Actually, you have to play it at least 2 times because the first two times you pay dearly numerous blind shape holes!
The service was often praised here somewhat slimmed down, lay in per capita buggy 2x0,3 water and 2 bananas, untwegs there was nothing.
I would like to warn against the outrageous price / performance ratio in the clubhouse. You should eat and drink elsewhere, at 4 euros for a cup of coffee hears the fun and begins the crock.

TOP miserable place with greens

The place is just beautiful, very varied with very beautiful but also gefinkelten fairways. The space condition is very good, if it were not for the greens.
The greens are put in a miserable condition with bald and lazy. Disaster. That does not fit this beautiful place, and especially not to this high green fee prices.
Service is good-very good, with bananas and water at the tee boxes, the food in the clubhouse is very good, but also relatively expensive.
The drinks are very expensive, 1 can 0.33l coke, fanta, beer, etc. will cost about 5 - €
Would definitely play the course again, provided that the greens are in order.

Absolute dream place

We played here every day for a whole week in February 2012: It was never boring!
For me, one of the most beautiful places in Europe!
Almost unobstructed view of each hole on the dark blue sea and La Gomera beyond.
The system is built into the very creative sometimes steep slope. Some fairways are unforgivable: the ball can always roll all the way down if you do not take the few flat spots. Hole 13 is there really difficult.
The greens often fall off against the bottom. Extremely difficult putt!
Grandiose vegetation with lots of palm trees, agaves, etc. A ball is out often away.
Great proximity to the Abama Hotel: Great service. But overall very expensive. Foreign players € 200 are already much! The golf package with hotel stay worthwhile anyway.
Golf carts with GPS, etc: all the finest. Disadvantage: the place is fully booked: he always 4-flights with strangers. Taking hold in purchasing. This fairways over waterfalls, steep edges, narrow passages.
Total: super super super!
I can hardly wait for the next week of golf here.

Value for money

The service has subsided. There is no logo balls as tee-off gift towels and nothing more. We had 75 minutes before the start time there and wanted to take over the duty stroller. Since we were made aware that this only 60 minutes passed before tee time - with 2x200 € green fee. The roads were covered with numerous palm branches - it made a rather unkempt. There were only two shells equipped on the court with fruit - bananas were quite brown. We will no longer play the course

Top spot

This is an absolute top position with high demand. Especially the Preview of the Greens is particularly difficult. Stunning views over small waterfall and play form the frame.
Without staying at the hotel but the place is too expensive in relation to the class.

No hair dryer

Otherwise everything was great,

in the ladies shower lacks a hair dryer - so wash your hair is not trendy - it was so hot was the answer - but on a wet head, the wind is not very warm (cold danger) and also do not see soaking wet hair with every attractive from :-)
