It originated from a hunting pavilion from the 18th century, which has been lovingly restored and now combines history, beauty and elegance. Casa Velha do Palheiro is part of the 120 hectare Palheiro Nature Estate with 20 kilometers of nature trails, which also includes the 18-hole championship course Palheiro Golf, a spa with indoor and outdoor pool, restaurants, bar and tea house. Staff unbeatably attentive and friendly, ideal location, not only for playing golf, but also for visiting Funchal and the hiking trails typical of Madeira (levadas, mountains), hotel with a pleasant old English villa flair and botanical garden, food very good by Portuguese standards 😏.
