Located just north of the historic city of York, this club is one of the oldest in the area, dating back to 1890. The current course, laid out by J.H. Taylor in 1904, offers a serene blend of parkland and heathland features (Lowland Heath). Golfers face a strategic challenge defined by tree-lined fairways and heather, culminating in a memorable closing stretch known for its difficulty. The signature 7th, a par 3 played over a pond, requires nerves of steel. Extensive practice facilities and a refurbished clubhouse featuring the historic J.H. Taylor Room complete this classic Yorkshire golfing experience.
