Established in 1893, Woking Golf Club holds the distinction of being Surrey's oldest heathland course and the first of the celebrated "Three Ws." While originally laid out by Tom Dunn, it was the strategic modifications by members John Low and Stuart Paton that cemented its reputation as a masterpiece of design. The course is defined by its natural undulating terrain, abundant heather, and complex green complexes that demand precise approach play rather than brute force. What a club - what a place!!!

The traditional clubhouse from Woking's founding era, with its terrace and rooms, is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen! The 14th green is practically on the terrace! The Heathland-Forest Course is visually overwhelming and is also incredibly difficult to play! Long stretches of heathland are waiting to be negotiated, and the drive must land between the tree stumps. Woking is ancient and a masterpiece of "Old UK Design!"
