Situated on the highest open land of the peninsula, Wirral Golf Club offers a distinctive heathland experience in a region famous for coastal links. Originally designed by Open Champion Harry Hilton and expanded to 18 holes by 1907, the layout remains a hidden green oasis rich in local wildlife. This is a compact course of approximately 5,000 yards where precision takes precedence over power. Players face a strategic challenge featuring tight fairways lined with gorse and small, often elevated greens that demand accurate approach shots. Known for its playability, a full round can typically be completed in under three hours. The historic clubhouse provides a welcoming environment for visitors to relax after their game.
