Characteristics
Established in 1907 within the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Whiteleaf Golf Club offers a distinctive heritage experience on historic chalk downland. The course benefits from excellent natural drainage, ensuring playability throughout the seasons. Although a 9-hole layout, it presents a rigorous challenge with undulating terrain and tight approaches, often played as an 18-hole round to vary the angles. Notable features include the signature "Switchback" hole with its complex double-tiered green. To preserve the traditional nature of the hilly landscape, buggies are not permitted. The clubhouse hosts the "Auberge du Golf," renowned for serving dishes made from locally sourced ingredients.
