Founded in 1891 on the Wirral Peninsula, Wallasey Golf Club offers a quintessential English links experience originally laid out by Old Tom Morris. Renowned as the "Home of Stableford," it was here that Dr. Frank Stableford devised the famous scoring system in 1932. The course, characterized by rugged dunes and challenging coastal winds, has served as an Open Qualifying venue four times. Notably, Bobby Jones qualified here during his historic Grand Slam year in 1930, a feat commemorated by a portrait in the traditional clubhouse.
